Distorted screen on boot up and in BIOS - EVGA GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER XC GAMING

Please see attached pic. 
 
After installing the latest driver I noticed that after I rebooted the computer that the reboot splash screen was all smeared and distorted. However, it booted into Windows normally. I thought maybe it was the driver so I decided to remove the driver and as soon as I removed it the distortion was on Windows as well. I then proceeded to install an older driver and while it brought back windows it was still unreadable in the BIOS. Is this a sign that the card is about to die? It is still under warranty and I would hate to let that expire if I can get it replaced right now.

    Have you tried a different display cable, and output on the gpu? Does the issue occur on both hdmi and displayport outputs?

    Actually I did try a different display port on the card and got the same results. Did not try the HDMI port though. I will try different cables and the HDMI port when I get home from work.

    It actually went away when I plugged it into the HDMI port. But I need my monitor plugged into the display port to get the most out of my monitor's features.  Any clue what this could indicate?

    I got it sorted, with your help of course.  After you suggested to use the HDMI port and I saw it was working, I then went to try a different display port cable and when I went to unplug the current DP cable to plug in the alternate one, I noticed that the connection on the monitor side was very loose. After securing it snugly and it was working correctly. Whew! I would hate to lose a card in this GPU apocalypse landscape! Thanks for all your help!
