Building a new computer, friend gifted me a 1060 (06G-P4-6368-KR) and 1080 (08G-P4-6286-KR) that they used for mining. Right now I'm gathering all the drivers and bios updates I'll need to install it for the build. I'll be triple booting between Win 7, Win 10, and Linux. (Win 7 is archival in case I need to reference some settings, eventually will just dual boot with Linux being my daily ride).
I just spent the last few hours trying to find manuals, drivers, and bios updates for these cards, and either I'm suddenly bad at searching or they're not on the site in an organized way?
I found these product pages for each GPU page, but there's no support links:
I found this page for drivers...but it's unclear if the "10" family is only the 1030s (since that's what shows up on submenus) or if they include both the 1060 and 1080:
Can't find any manuals for either card.
I found this page about updating the BIOS for the 1080, with four options and not much information:
[08G-P4-6286-KR - EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 FTW ACX 3.0 - Primary BIOS (86.04.3b.00.84) | Secondary BIOS (86.04.3b.01.82) | Original Primary BIOS | Original Secondary BIOS]
Is there a BIOS file for the 1060 listed somewhere? Even the original would be great.
For the 1080, is this the order of operations? Never dealt with dual bios before:
- Update the Primary
- Restart and Test
- Shutoff, switch to the secondary BIOS
- Bootup, flash secondary
- Restart and test, then shutoff and switch back to the Primary?
If you have links to any and all of these I'd be really grateful, thanks!
