Does anyone know exactly how the new EVGA GT 1000W PSU stacks up against the other power supplies? I ordered the 1000W GT but have seen stuff online about how it doesn't have many reviews and may not be good compared to their G series ones, but I can't imagine there's a big difference.

All power supplies are pretty relevant, they’re mostly all based off the same designs and a company as relevant as EVGA are going to keep their stuff in high regard. Mostly you’re paying for warranty 5 or 10 year and efficiency, I think you’ll be fine.

There are some minor to slightly greater differences between all the different PSUs even with-in a certain wattage spec. Things like power efficiency,  number and types of PCI-e connectors, modular or not, noise levels are usually bigger considerations, but there are probably too many factors to list or compare in a post.  When you get into the higher end PSUs other factors like voltage regulation, ripple suppression, quality/types of transistors used could come in to play.

If you really want dive in with understanding the basics, go to a website like newegg and use the "compare" option and narrow down all the differences to get a better comparative.
