I need replacement pads for my gpu.
Was told my gpu uses 2.25mm thick.

I cant find them anywhere and can't even find any with .25 thickness,It always tend to be. 5

Should I use 2mm or 2.5mm pads?

You could look into the "Kritical thermal pads."  They come in custom sets based upon your gpu.  They run about 29 usd per custom set.  Here is the site: https://kriticalpads.com/Custom-GPU-sets_c_11.html.

If you contact EVGA support, they can provide OE thermal pads for your SKU at nominal costs.

Interesting.  I guess support may have changed in recent years.  Try tweeting @EVGA_JacobF for clarification on availability.  I purchased OE thermal putty for the chokes from the webstore and had access to pads for 3080/3090 FTWs from support.  Had to revert 3090 FTW hybrid kit back to air when my v0.1 was replaced due to the power balance TSB.  Emailing takes some time, calling in the US has a quicker response.

UPDATE:  saw the UK post too late.  Try tweeting Jacob to see if there are other options.  I didn't like stacking pads or using lower grade softer ones for better compression.  Good luck.

I always wonder, can’t we just use thermal pads for the chokes or the pads can’t transfer the heat it good enough?

Could use pads, but depending on your expectations, unless you are converting to a good water from air, it's deminishing returns in performance.  If appearance and performance is a priority, it will get quite involved.  A discretely placed fan on the backplate and/or good case airflow will address most situations.  I never re-installed my hybrid kit on my 3090FTW after it was replaced with v1.  My main rig in my sig crashes with Halo Infinite so I needed to turn up the AC or reduce P1 settings.  Probably a combo of driver, game code, and OC.
