I just want to know if the 24GB memory will be configured in 24x 8Gbit (1GB) modules like the 3090, or in 12x 16Gbit (2GB) modules to give a 12-module config like the 3080Ti and keep all the memory on the front side for better cooling. that could make it worth it over the 3090.

That's a good point.
As far as pricing, a reality check would be nice. But, I don't see it happening until people refuse to buy the inflated {MSRP} prices. I would love to know what their profit margin is. They have to be killing, except for the limited availability.

I'd be surprised if it's less than $2500 MSRP

I agree. If this is the case, and they are not astronomically priced and they are obtainable... I would be more than happy to trade up from my 3090. Sadly, my 90 days ends on 1/21/22 so a trade up is probably out of the question. I'd still opt to buy one probably and sell my current one for what I paid for the 3090Ti. I guess time will tell...

Intel i7-12700k, Corsair H150i Elite LCD, EVGA 3090 Hybrid, MSI Pro Z690-A , G.Skill 32GB 3600 CL16, EVGA 1000w T2, Samsung 980Pro SSD, Sound Blaster Z

The kingpin edition is going to be special. Been awhile since people were able to buy a fully enabled chip from nvidia in kpe flavor. Last one was 780 ti kpe.

but can it look as good? and of course be 7% (or 5%) better than the last one for 10% more.

2 of those new power connectors running it looks like a large leap ahead.... for my hydro bill.

I think this depends on Nvidia's reference design.

A lot of AIB manufacturers got egg all over their face for deviating even slightly from Nvidia's reference, remember MOSFETgate, so I wouldn't count on any deviation this time.

I don't know if this last bit is true, but I've heard that Nvidia buys the memory modules that are sold to AIB partners for graphics cards. So, again, it depends on if Nvidia allows it.

Almost 100% certain no, not to a kingpin anyway. The kingpin cards are too limited, especially with this sku.

MOBO: EVGA x299 Dark, CPU: I9 10900X, RAM: Patriot Viper RGB 3600 32gb, SSD: Samsung 860 EVO 1TB, M2: Samsung 970 EVO+ 1TB, PSU: CoolerMaster M2 1500, CPU HSF: EVGA 240 CLC HSF~ P/P EK Furious Vardar, G-CARD:EVGA RTX3090 FTW3 Ultra Gaming w/Hybrid kit and Noctua IPPC 3000 P/P, CASE: LIAN-LI PC-V2010B w/ Window mod, OS: Windows 10 Pro 64bit, MON: Alienware AW3821DW

Its either the 3090 tee-eye kingpin or the Tesla for my budget. So hard to decide. Lol

I'm wondering why people think the non blinking, ignorant presenter knows anything about these video cards or is simply not some deep fake persona.

When the cards ship they ship. Not before. Given the current situation there may be no queue for it, no stock except for scalpers, and prices similar to used cars.

And I only pay attention to Jacob or someone credible for tech news, not some random dummy that can't even pronounce the name. This marketing is such a disappointment to go along with the shortages.

EVGA has never offered a kingpin as a step up option.

NVidia never said the 3090ti was happening this week. NVidia did say “more to come” but hasn’t given any more details, so it’s a guessing game until they actually follow through.

Yeah, I think it's the 3050 this week (January 27th).

Yeah I'm sticking with my 3080ti for this generation and might be done with them for a while unless nvidia does something to win us back after flipping us off this generation. They did nothing to gain any favor from consumers who weren't mining. They have taken every opportunity to bump prices up, LHR was a joke, all it did was make miners buy 2x as many cards to bump their hashrate. EVGA has done what they could so I'll buy from them next time I buy
