Got my GPU on the date 8/26/2021 and was working fine for a little while, Got into BF2042 and everything started to go down hill and my game kept getting hangs. I tried every thing to fix it and it kept doing the same thing with other games, Then it wouldn't even let me play any other games they got the same hang, It wont let me game on it at all cant even play a simple game without crashing on me. I have installed the latest driver and I still get the hang in my games. the gpu wont work in my computer so I can't run any more test on it. (heres a example of on of my hang I get every time I play)

I'd say run DDU and reinstall the driver.

you might also consider A.pulling and resitting RAM sticks ,.. reinstall latest DIRECTX files , if you have access to another computer swap video cards and test ,. if this all fails , ( you COULD consider fresh install of windows to Assure completely clean installation ( remember to get the updated Drivers and DIREXTX files if you do reinstall windows ) , if STILL failing ,.. RMA the card!

i ran the DDU and it was working longer but then got this still dont know what is causing it to do this i have a amd ryzen 5 3600 6-core processor 3.59ghz, 16gb ram new, 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor, windows 10 everything except the hard drives and ssd is new.

follow this link , How do I know if my DirectX is corrupted? – Gaming Section : Magazine Gaming, E-sport, jeux vidéo, Reviews, Trucs & Astuces CHECK WHAT IT SAYS ,...... you may have Direct X /Visual C++ files issue s or other some such ,. if you even have the option ,. try a Fresh install of windows ( GUARANTEED to remove/flush old/corrupted files ) , or before that , if you have another machine , test the card there too , remember , that this error is showing a lot of DIRECTX information,..... you may very well just have corrupted DirectX files!,....Luck!

I had some issues that went away by flashing the bios of the motherboard with the latest update

Driver or overclock issue. I had similar error with unstable OC. Resolved by reinstalling the driver and making sure card was reset to factor defaults.

Is your card a factory overclocked card? Is your system memory set to run faster than 3200 MHz?

What are the specs of your computer and what operating system are you using? Have you tried running DxDiag and seeing what the results are?

Like Hoggle has said we need more info to troubleshoot your problem. We need complete system specs to include make and model of PSU.

I was having this exact issue with BF2042 , like less than 20 mins apart. Drove me crazy ..   .. I ended up wiping Win 11 & going back to Win 10 -& have NOT seen the issue yet.  So it could have been a multitude of things, corrupt drivers, corrupt DirX , win 11 sucking , buggy game , etc...

Bringing this back from the dead as I have this issue as well. Same system worked fine with a 3070 but now with a 3080ti constant problems.
DirectX function "GetDeviceRemovedReason" failed with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG. I have tried reinstalling the game, windows and even upgrading to Windows 11 with the same error.
Online research seems to think this is an OC issue, I have never OC'd this card, although I suppose maybe it's being pushed too hard from the factory. If that is the case then I'd say that is on EVGA. Will see what support says but open to suggestions.
