Preface: Not angry at anyone or anything, just cant help but laugh and wanted to share. So most of us are fully aware of the que system, which I am quite happy we have! My turn came up for the 3070ti, bought and paid for during the buy window, and evga shipped it out with the upmost haste! (they had that thing out the day after!) While at work I excitedly check the tracking info around the time UPS would normally make a drop at my house, only to see the tracking info updated with "Address Error, update address". Ok, that's odd, never seen that before. Call up UPS, spend some time trying to get the automated service to help, where it finally tells me that it is unable to update my address for the package, and connected me to a live agent. This is good, I like talking to real people! I verify all my information, and they claim that the address I am giving them, is indeed the one the packaged was marked to be delivered to, so they will attempt delivery again the next day. All's well so far right? Saturday comes, I'm at work, check the tracking "Unable to delivery, improper street address. Returning to sender" Call up the UPS while I have a moment, cannot be connected to a live agent this time, cannot fix the issue. Call my local distribution center, get ahold of someone, they tried to be helpful, but it was apparent they couldn't do anything either. So now the new GPU, which did not even make it to my house, is on its way back to evga. As I said, it's funny, they shipped that thing out lightning fast! and it's looking like I wont have the chance to get it for the expected 5-10 business days instead. Cheers everybody. I'll just keep on waiting, it's what we've all done for the last year anyways! Anyone else have any funny shipping error stories to fill the time?

I have heard about the FedEx guy actually! I really dislike when I get something via Fedex, they have never made a successful delivery to my house in 10 years, always have to go pick it up at the distribution center, like clockwork. UPS has historically been reliable for me. Oh well!

The only “funny” shipping story I have is from a few years back. I bought the entire series of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine from an eBay seller. Instead, I received Game of Thrones season 3. So, I contacted the seller and they informed me that a disgruntled employee purposely sent out wrong orders. Said he’d refund me, but asked that I return the GoT season. Fair enough, so I asked if the return address was valid but I never heard back. I decided to send it to that address anyway. Well, I tracked it, and tracked it, and tracked it to ensure it was received by the seller. It circled around the town I’d sent it to before finally coming back to me due to an invalid address. In the interim, I’d gotten a refund through eBay since the seller’s account had disappeared. Before it did, their positivity rating went from 99.something to the 70s almost overnight. Poor guy I guess. I got my money back and one season of a whole series out of the whole ordeal. Gotta love eBay.

Starting around this time of year pretty much *all* the delivery services suck, mainly because they hire on a lot of temporary seasonal workers for the Christmas rush, and many of these temp workers do not give one single cr@p whether they deliver to the right address or not, or in some cases they don't deliver at all - just mark everything as 'unavailable' so they can finish early and go home and take a few more hits on their bongs.

I've begged and pleaded with EVGA to stop using UPS, but it appears someone higher up who doesn't frequent these forums makes these decisions, and us customers pay the price. I am honestly surprised they didn't give you the option to just hold it at their depot.

I tried to get them to do that Rammacanada, but alas. They rather rapidly already sent it on its way back. Just as I'm in the middle of a long run of days with no time off. So, I wait some more.

I’ve heard the UPS horror stories as well as other carriers, but I guess I’ve been lucky. Everywhere I’ve lived around the country, UPS has had better overall service compared with others. Boxes are seldom smashed or dented, and they’re punctually consistent. So long as EVGA never even thinks about using LaserShip, I won’t complain.

Can't be any worse than what FEDEX has done twice to me. FEDEX has refused to deliver packages to the apartment complex I live in claiming I wasn't home, or that it was a business that was closed. Second time they started that crap, I contacted the seller on Amazon/Amazon who issued a refund to my credit card right away, after I told them how FEDEX does things where I live. As of November 1, the local FEDEX office is in possession of stolen property, and even sent a card wanting me to come pick it up. I sent them a letter back notifying them, they were in possession of stolen property, and they were to now deliver packages to where I live and leave them near the security door, instead of their garbage, or the local police would be called, who would then after I handed them a copy of the letter I sent the local FEDEX office, and give local police the details, would then be able to get a warrant, go to the local FEDEX office, and take some people in to custody for possessing stolen property. Where I live UPS is better than FEDEX, which tells one something.

I don't have any problem with UPS as my order always around the same time for every delivery they made so far for the last 4+ years where I live but FedEx is another story.

Yikes! Well I hope EVGA will send it to you at no additional charge, or possibly to a UPS store so you may pick it up. As for a funny story, I guess now it's funny but back then it wasn't so funny.
UPS...not only dropped the ball but delivered the gpu to someone else in the same community. Check the tracking status - delivered! Sweet, let me check if they left it at my door because no one knocked! Hmmm, nothing there, so I go online and check again. Definitely says it was delivered a couple hours prior, but you can't do any chats with their company online so I had to call on the phone. This person tells me it shows to have been delivered to my address in the morning and it was signed for. Definitely not. Then I see a UPS truck double parked making a delivery across the street. I ran out the door with the person on the line, no shoes, jumped the fence to be sure I don't miss the driver(as I type that I'm laughing lol) because running all the way to the gate could've had me lose the chance to speak with this guy. Anyways, I speak with the driver, and he's the usual carrier; said he did make deliveries this morning but there was nothing for my apartment. He literally checked his little gadget, showed all that was on the list for our street address and nothing for my unit. But he does find my order based on the tracking info I had, but said it was not part of his deliveries. (Clearly I'm upset about my missing GPU) So he speaks to his dispatch and she's telling him it shows it was on his truck and he's telling her no he didn't have a delivery for it. I showed the tracking and it said I signed for it, and I told him that's impossible, he would've remembered...you know, since I have a long Hawaiian name. Hahahaha Anyways, now I got the driver sweatin' like crazy, he's arguing with dispatch because he's adamant he did not have a package for my unit in his deliveries. Basically they tell him to go check the other address he delivered to and confirm; he did, and there it was, my box from EVGA!!! The address information from EVGA was perfectly fine, but UPS tends to have their own barcode stickers that they also put on packages, and that's just what happened. They put an entirely separate sticker with another address over the EVGA address label and it was delivered to another unit. Thank goodness the kid who answered the door knew me so he wasn't hesitant of letting the UPS driver see all the boxes he delivered earlier. Phew. But ever since then, any UPS deliveries I have, this driver actually texts me to let me know he has something for me on his truck. Buahahahahaha

Unfortunately I think you're right. I try giving the younger drivers a chance but nothing pales into comparison of our almost 30 year UPS vet that retired several years ago and still made his way to ring the doorbell just to say it was his last day. They don't make them like they used to. Just waiting for drone shipping or EV/Robots to do the job. Once the kinks are worked out, they'll be more accurate and secure (cams/sensors up the wazoo). Oh, here's a childhood friend of mine that posted this on her FB a week or two ago. Anyone notice anything in particular OFF? HINT: Amazon driver...tsk..tsk! So if it was a opened up box with nothing in it, they'd still send it? Amazon needs to do a better job at not letting the packages get away.

Have not had issues with any of the shippers, but prefer UPS. Fedex tends to hold deliveries here until they are due, even if they arrive early. UPS and USPS will deliver as soon as package arrives locally.

Both FedEX and UPS have been messing up deliveries for over 2 years now in my area. UPS has been the worst lately. They drop off my packages at other peoples' houses all the time. If UPS actually uses GPU to confirm location as some people have claimed, then their GPS must have an error range of several miles.

UPS, at least in my area, has been fairly reliable. FedEx, on the other hand, is about as useless as a submarine with screen doors.
UPS always delivers on the day they tell me, and usually within the time window as well. FedEx constantly changes status on a whim, never delivers on the original date, and often will show a package out for delivery, only to revert back to 'in transit' hours later because the package itself is still several states away.
Hope EVGA gets you sorted out, and quickly!

I actually prefer UPS compared to Fedex. There's a distribution center for both fedex and ups here in town for me. If you call the UPS distribution center they'll give you an estimated time that truck will be back. So you just show up after their trucks come back, you can go to their customer service center to pick it up. Fedex doesn't do that.

I've had way more problems with FedEx but I guess it all depends on the driver that handles your route and the people at the local distribution center I guess. Unlucky that your UPS experience was so bad, I hope it all works out in the end.

The situation has been resolved. I would like to say there is a world of difference the help you get vs the number UPS wants you to call, vs if you can actually talk with your local distribution center. Now just to find out why my address is no longer deliverable to.

Ouch on my step-up using 3 day due to distance it should had went air the whole way, the bad hub in California Ontario read up about the airport and that UPS hub its horrible... Well, they let my video card sit for over 48hrs almost to the 60hrs mark because they could, then it finally starts moving and makes its way to TN. Instead of being flow as it should had been to Orlando or Miami UPS hubs it was put on a truck then driven all the way to Jacksonville FL. From there put on another truck that took over 15hrs to make a 3 in a half hour drive to my city. It arrives a day late, is put on an extra truck that sat there all morning and into the evening, I posted something about it on UPS.com, well one of my friends who works there, and little did I know he is the head guy. Well he saw my post luckily. The second he was done for the day went out to the truck unloaded it himself, found my card, loaded the truck back up, then swung by my house on his way home. He was like yeah if I didn't do that the truck is not moving until after thanksgiving, your card would have been way more than 1 day late already. I really want my older UPS guys back honestly, we have one guy in his 30's on our route now that is good. The other one on the same route is well slow, terrible, and does not like even putting packages at my door inside my gate just leaves them outside the gate on the ground...
