I'm running the Windows 11 beta, and it doesn't appear the NU audio software is compatible (or there is something else wrong with my Windows install).  NUAPro.exe starts NUAII and the icon appears in the taskbar, but then immediately stops and the icon disappears when it is hovered over.  The drivers are still working fine and the device is recognized and audio output is fine.  I just can't access the NU Audio software.  I've tried running NUAPro.exe as admin, in compatibility mode, and doing an uninstall with Revo and a fresh install using the latest download on the site.  Is there anywhere I can check logs for what is happening?  Or any other fixes I should try?

    I am also running windows 11 Pro version - 21H2, Build - 22000.168 / Experience - Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22000.168.0.

My NuAudio console is working perfectly (touches wood) - v021.14 Firmware Version v0.32

This is a fresh install of Windows 11 Pro BETA. Last night I scrubbed my primary ssd, fresh install of windows 10, enabled Insider channel without installing any updates or drivers then upgraded to 11. Then (it took a while) I did a compete reset in 11 so I had as clean a build as possible without installing from a Windows 11 ISO (I cant get them to work).

I have tested speakers and spdif and have no issues as yet.

Im running a 3600XT at stock on an MSi X570 Tomahawk with 16GB Crucial DDR4 3600 XMP enabled.

Now a while back I had a slight issue and I installed them using the compatibility option (Windows 8) but that was a while back and now everything seems ok.

Hope you get it fixed and happy to help where I can

Yah, I wasn't so sure it was a Windows 11 thing.  Something else must be preventing the software from opening.  Not sure I'm mentally prepared for a fresh install, hope to try and get to the root of the issue.

I did play around with compatibility options, nothing worked, so I turned them off.

hopefully with the next drivers that optimize for windows 11, they'll finally include side tone for the seemingly everybody that has this thing that's been asking for it. $200+ sound card and you can't hear your mic or use the line in from a mic interface to get side tone? WOMP WOMP.

If you haven't already done so, try deleting NU Audio's AppData folder: https://www.evga.com/supp...tails.aspx?faqid=59777

EVGA NU audiocard with Windows 11 - wait for drivers

EDIT (problem below). I did cloud reset to that new PC of mine in which Evga Audio card was not recognized. I really do not know what ELSE I did, but now Evga Nu audio and Nahimik are working in Windows 11 pro (insider build 22000.194 eng 64 bit).

     -- history of problem --

I have same (?) problem with Evga NU audiocard, no recognition in PC with windows 11 insider (at the moment build 22000.176).

I have two exactly like desktop computers, both with ASUS Z390 (P- and A- versions) motherboard and Intel i5-9600K CPU and Corsair memory. The first one (ASUS Z390-P) had originally Windows 10 pro and Evga NU audiocard working well. But this one lacked pins for TPM 2.0 module). And that situation was the reason I made second PC (ASUS Z390-A) to get real TPM module on the motherboard (on ASUS Z390-A).

Only difference between these PC's is that into the new one I installed some drivers from "Support-DVD" of this ASUS A- version motherboard. And every time this new PC- boots there comes same message "cFosSpeed multilingual problem". I have English version of Windows but Finnish language keyboard- and time- settings.

First time I installed EVGA- Audio card when my one Year old desktop PC (ASUS Z390-P) was still running Windows 10 pro, Which PC I later this Year updated from windows 10 to windows 11 insider. EVGA audio and Nahimik were working without problems in windows 10 and in windows 11 version of same hardware.

Because of lack of TPM-chip 2.0 I wanted to build new version with ASUS Z390-A (with TPM 2.0 pins) and installed windows 11 insider in it at once. After that I moved EVGA NU audiocard to that new PC.

BUT: EVGA was not recognized in this new PC. I have tried 4 kid of processes to "repair", no result.

    (1) Installed card first and then drivers, and when install program asked to remove card an d plug again.. No result.
    (2) Removed audiocard and then installed audiodrivers. No result.
    (3) Uninstalled audiodrivers and removed audiocard. Installed again audiodrivers with no audiocard and then plugged in audiocard again. No result.
    (4) checked power cable going to audiocard, installed new cable from PSU. No result.
    (5) Accidentally I did try something different. I booted to UEFI BIOS to check if there is something strange, BUT did not find anything. Then I pressed exit without saving and booted to windows. Surprice, sounds and Evga's Nahimik soundprogram started to work.
    (6) BUT after that, Evga and Nahimik do work only that way. If I want to get sounds trough Evga I have yo remove all USB- and other cables from the PC and open case and remove and attache EVGA NU soundcard everytime. Who wants to do it that way?
    (7) Is it possible that the of EXISTING TPM 2.0 (firmware in the old one) could be the reason Evga not get properly installed? Malwarebytes virus-programs heuristic -model gives a message that one part of evganu drivers have virus. Maybe trustedplatform (TPM) -process makes that same reasoning too?

EVGA support did not find out what was the problem. And I still have not got any reasonable explanation, but one special from a EVGA-  support person: "I have not dared try Windows 11" (or something like that).Think: a support person.

Thanks from me too. This step allowed the mic input to begin working again, after doing an in-place upgrade from Win 10 to Win 11.

I assume that we would see Windows 11 drivers in the future when Windows 11 comes out to the general public.

If this (Evga Nu audio win 11 drivers) will happen, it will happen during next 6 months. Starting 5th October this Year?

Sorry to see that. One difference is that I do not install the Nahimik option. Regarding TPM, I have it enabled via the UEFI option for applying it to the CPU. No separate TPM chip installed.

I did a clean .iso install of Windows 11 late last week at launch and installed the v1.0.3 driver and software for my NU Audio Pro. The install went fine and the software is working well.
There is one issue I've found that I'll submit a ticket for:

In the Windows 11 settings menu for audio, open up the settings for the speakers. You will see an option for enhanced audio here:

If you leave this off, you will notice that none of the Nahimic effects in the Nu Audio software like surround and the others will have any effect/won't work. You need to enable the 'Enhance Audio' setting in order for the effects to work. I've tried this on the microphone side and I lost the mic completely, so in my opinion, it's likely better to leave it off for the mic, at least for now.

Re: NU Audio Software and Windows 11? 2021/11/16 17:47:47 (permalink)
At the time I posted earlier, our team was less acquainted with Windows 11, so it seemed to them like there were issues.  After reaching out to Nahimic, the main reason people might encounter issues is for two reasons:

    1.  If the "Enhance audio" function is disabled, this will prevent Nahimic functions from being enabled.  For the original NU Audio card, you can get around some aspects of the card and still use it successfully.  However, the NU Audio Pro is more integrated with the Nahimic SDK, which will have a greater impact on the functionality of the card if the Enhance audio function is disabled.  BizSAR posted a nice screenshot of where you can find this setting.

    2.  Make sure to only make changes to the sample rate/bit-depth via the NU Audio software, and not the Windows menus.  The speaker and the mic functions are linked to the same sample rate via hardware, so if you change the sample rate for either speakers or mic via Windows, it may cause a conflict and affect the functionality.  The NU Audio software keeps them linked to the same sample rate/bit-depth to avoid this issue.

At this time, we don't see the need for a new driver for Windows 11, but we'll obviously monitor any issues people run into while using Windows 11.

I can confirm that the 3.5mm output has stopped working while playing World of Warships which I use for late night discreet sessions.  If I use the SPDIF optical output it works just fine and if I use any other program it seems to work fine too.

What bit-depth/sample rate are you using when playing the game?

32 bit, 44100 and the strange thing is that today it started out working and then went away.  I tried switching between different outputs and it suddenly came back without rebooting so IDK.  I also use Audio Switcher to change outputs.

I'd say it's a good bet that the 32bit is throwing off the game.  Try setting it to 24bit, and that should fix the issue.

I'm noticing that frequently, upon boot-up/reboot, my mic level gets reset to 100% (NU Audio Pro w/o surround card). I've tried adjusting it using the Win11 control menu and the Nu Audio app, but it still gets reset.

Folks I discovered an issue that might have been the root cause of my problem.  I was using a USB volume control that was malfunctioning and finally died.  Once I replaced it with a new unit the problem I was having disappeared and my speaker output works normally again.  Too bad the volume control on my Razor huntsman elite v1 is trash or I wouldn't have to use such a thing.

I'm noticing that frequently, upon boot-up/reboot, my mic level gets reset to 100% (NU Audio Pro w/o surround card). I've tried adjusting it using the Win11 control menu and the Nu Audio app, but it still gets reset.
    Win11 pro build 22000.348.

When you turn off the system, what level is the mic usually at?

I leave it set to 50%. Not using any boost, volume stabilizer at 50%, noise reduction 25%. 24-bit, 192k.
Of course, today it wasn't reset when I booted.
