Hi, EVGA I just notice today my LED that tells posting and Temp on the motherboard is not working properly. Meaning I have LED telling temp of my cpu but LED #3 is not visible to see number well.
            1   2   3  4
           [0][0][3][2] CPU temp on led
faded on number 3. Best I can show since I can't take picture because led's so bright not even with flash disabled works to take picture.
In POST LED 1,2  I don't see any lights coming up. Mind you I am not having any issues were motherboard is posting anything. Motherboard seems work fine and in Gaming not having any problems. the only problem I am having in POST LED # 3 not visible or bright enough to see well. Also there has not been any power outages in my area. Everything else in PC working fine. Finally got cell phone can take really HD videos so here belated proof LOL just too long post. This is what MB  now shows. 05/03/2022

I’m also having this problem on my Z490 Dark KINGPIN; the debug LED displaying POST codes and temps is faded because one or more LEDs are no longer functioning. Very disappointed because I use the CPU temp readout feature.

Same here, my first number in temperature LED suddenly became dim, I can now only see second number. Never had LED die on me like this.

Yea mine gotten worst now all hard see at all. I have to start RMA. tried take video to show EVGA but they tell me they cannot see it. I take it is the light from motherboard shine too bright trows video off. When taking videos all LCD Post light look fine. that problem making video about it.

Really like to point somethings out very important, that only issue with LCD Post lights not working properly.  Rest of EVGA z490 Dark mobo is working great.

So I’m having the same problem except my mobo is the z590 FTW. First number is dim and doesn’t properly display cpu temp. Any update on y’all’s issue? Thanks.

Re: My POST LED is not functioning. 2021/10/25 18:55:57 (permalink)
I have owned all of these motherboards from EVGA.

Evga X299 DARK.
Evga Z490 DARK KINGPIN.
Evga Z590 DARK.

Everyone has had debug LED problems. The X299 Dark debug LED’s just fell off.. The Z490 Dark Kingpin Debug LED didn’t work properly. (Not legible, or unable to read)
And now, my brand new Z590 Dark motherboard that costed $644 dollars with taxes from Evga now has LED debug failure.

what a joke! And what sucks about it all is that, it’s just a horrible inconvenience. Do I want to tear apart my entire test bench, custom loop, just to send Evga my $650 dollar motherboard, so I can have functioning debug LED’s again?? Absolutely not.. And even if I did. I’m just gonna get a new motherboard and the debug LED’s will slowly deteriorate..

The question is not, “Is your debug failing” every Evga motherboard I have owned is failing.

”The question is” “Why Cant EVGA build a properly functioning debug LED?”

it should work.. This is a brand new $650 dollar motherboard.

This is a photo of my Z590 Dark. I don’t care enough to send it in for a replacement, because I already know the replacement will fail.. My X299 dark failed, Z490 Dark KP failed, and now the Z590 Dark.

All I can say is, deal with it like I do..At least 1 number works. Will your CPU temps and voltages display correctly? LOL, good luck With that!!

Hey My Mobo all it has is that issue and me sending it in just makes me think too hard. what if they send replacement that might give another type problem. Nah I have to leave well enough alone for now. Yea I feel ya TPS all those good high end MOBO's should be giving that kind issue same one.

Mine is completely unreadable now. EVGA warranty is useless, all they will do is send replacement board that will fail too. EVGA should fix the issue, before sending replacement motherboard.

Dear Forum, i am facing the same issue with the Z490 KINGPIN middle led of the first digit of the Post Led Display is just fading, thanks god is readable. To be honest i am an EVGA fanatic since the early years of the company, but there was always something ruining the reputation of such a great company, especially on motherboards. Pity because the Z line up is such a well designed and built.

Reason I have not yet RMA is simple one MB works great in other functions and MB is in pristine conditions back is clear of any scratches as well as front. This makes it hard to RMA but going to do it soon enough.

I recently purchased a brand new x570 dark motherboard and my post led is going out too after only running it for not even 3 months and I was thinking the same thing should I send it in just for them to either replace with another post code led that is just going to burn out in another 3 months just like the first on but I was wondering if anyone knew the part number for the actual post code led thats on the x570 dark motherboard that way I could see the pin layout on it so I could just replace it with a better one that wont burn out

I'm probably going to send it in just really don't want to disassemble my custom loop because everything is hardline but that link I posted is the post code led that I think that they're using on my motherboard and probably the same ones that they are using on the other dark motherboards that have the same issue and if you look at the spec sheet it states to use them within a year which is odd I would assume that as long as they were stored in regular temperatures that they would be fine for a longer amount of time because people usually don't just use motherboards for a year but who knows I'm a welder not a computer hardware engineer haha and I'm too new to post a link apparently so its the TOD-2281 from oasistek you'll have to look it up from there

Wanted to let you know you cannot solder anything on EVGA MOBO's that will void warranty. best to contact https://www.evga.com/support/ tell them your problem they take it from there.

my x570 ftw has Post LED dimming issues too. At first one segment on the second digit would be dim every once in a while. After having that for a few weeks now the first digit dims too. I really dont want to have to RMA my board over this tough since it runs fine otherwise. Probably going to keep it as is unless something else messes up. I had this board a year and a half before this ever started
