does anyone know if you need access to the back side of the board to remove the heat sink from the z390 Dark?  I just got the EK active backplate for my 3090 FTW3 and it doesn't fit anymore due to how absurdly thick it is, something i hadn't considered.  But my plan is to mod the heat sink so that it will fit as I don't want to return it.  So, anyone out there that has removed the heat sink from this board tell me where to start, it's not immediately obvious from the front.
For the time being I can still run my PC, I just have it in slot two, and therefore it is running at x8, so lame.

The answer is yes, they’re secured from the back side of the board, the screws you can see on the front just hold ornamental plates
