Hi all, this is my first thread in the EVGA forums!
This is also my first build, and I am learning a lot! I've changed a few things from my original build (cooler, PSU, RAM, monitor, and now GPU). I hope someone can help me discern where the weakest links in my build are. I would really love some community input.
My current build is:Motherboard: MSI PRO Z490-A PRO LGA 1200
Processor: Intel Core i7-10700
GPU: EVGA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER BLACK GAMING
RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 16GB 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3200
SSD: Western Digital WD BLACK SN750 NVMe M.2 2280 1TB
Cooler: Noctua NH-D15 chromax.black
Fans: 2x Corsair ML140 CO-9050044-WW 140mm (in addition to the factory fans in my case,
see below)
PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 750 GT 80+ Gold
Case: Fractal Design Meshify C Black ATX (with the factory fans)
Monitor: AORUS FI27Q-X 27" 240Hz 1440P
I recently did a Step-Up from my EVGA 2070 Super to the 3080 FTW3 Ultra. With this upgrade, I am realizing that I will likely need a new PSU. I'm thinking EVGA SuperNOVA 850 G5. Any feedback on that choice?
And, as the thread title implies, I would like to find out where my "weakest link" is, and what I should look to upgrade next to maximize my performance per dollar. I haven't seen any temperature issues with the 2070 Super, but I understand the 3080 makes far more heat.
So... can anyone help? What should I upgrade next, and what should I upgrade to? Thanks!
(EDIT 9/23: Added monitor to build list... not sure it really matters though.)
