It does not function correctly for me with 10900KF on the Z490 Dark K|NGP|N. It's really screwed up. CPU and cache clocks are all messed up. I switched back to the BIOS I was using before.

I have the 2.00 bios with 11900k installed. It was rough and had a hard time posting.

If you don't plan on running a Rocket Lake-S CPU, you won't benefit from upgrading.

I honestly did not expect to see a benefit and thought that I probably would end up going back to the previous BIOS. But, I didn't expect it was going to malfunction as it did. I do not intend to downgrade to an 8-core CPU that costs more, but if I were going to I wouldn't have much confidence in the idea based on how the 10900KF behaved with this beta BIOS. Doesn't seem like it is ready for prime time. The 9th and 10th core and cache ratios set in the BIOS are ignored. I had to use EVGA software in Windows to set those ratios and cache, otherwise the CPU ran at 3.8GHz and cache at 800MHz.

Z490 Dark KP and my 11900K barely run together. Anytime you turn the PC on it goes through a full post cycle, like it’s powering on a new PC for the first time Only this happens every boot. A lot of issues with Rocket Lake and Z490 motherboards. I only purchased an 11900K in the first place because my 10900K up and died on me. If you are doing a new build, go straight for the Z590 Dark and 11900K. Or keep your 10900K

Well, the 11900K works on the Z490 Dark Kingpin, but I ended up just buying the Z590 Dark. You need to download the latest rocket lake bios for the Z490 Dark. Drop that downloaded folder called e499bin.. (I think that’s what it’s called) on a USB thumbdrive. Insert the thumb drive in to the USB slot on the motherboard. Hold down the reset button for 4 seconds, and let the process finish. I can’t remember if it’s the reset button or power button (You hold either one for 4 seconds). Try both. You need a PSU plugged in to the motherboard, and it should be switched on. You’ll see the count down on the debug LCD. Let it finish the update, and be sure it’s finished. Also, 11900K takes forever and a half to finally post on the Z490 Dark with Rocket Lake bios. You have no VCCIO Aux voltage control, so I could only run 3,066Mhz Gear 1, or 4,267Mhz Gear 2. This is what forced me to buy a new motherboard.

I tried it, I think you need some special software on the boot drive to make it work, which is what I am looking for. I just applied for the step-up program, so hopefully ill get a z590 soon. But for now I am with no PC, any ideas on where I can get the software?
