Step up is fast probably because 3080ti is poor value. I wanted a 3080 but that 1 year search went nowhere.

Yep, it's either a really cheap 3090 or an overpriced 3080. Mostly overpriced. I was in that same one year boat and my current 1080 was starting to act funny, and I was lucky enough from Newegg to snag a 3060ti.

Basically a decent value compared to the 3090 if you just plan on gaming. However, $500ish over a 3080 for not enough performance increase for the price. I'm still on the fence about it.

Took 2 days in the step up queue for a 3080 To. Purchased in early December. As soon as it shipped to my home, I registered it and put in my invoice. Then I immediately signed up for step up.Got my notification two days later and my 3060 Ti was sent off that night with the payment made.
^- not me. For me: North America Step 1: 2022-01-13 Step 2: 2022-01-31 Step 3: 2022-02-01 Step 4: 2022-02-01 Step 5: 2022-02-01 My 3070 got to EVGA 2022-02-11 My 3080ti shipped from EVGA 2022-02-11 Altogether right around a month turnaround.

i didnt know this thread existed 1. 12/10 2. 1/06 3. 1/11 4-5 1/12 shipped my card out on 1/13. should get there monday Update 1/18 Card got there on Monday 1/17. Evga shipped out 80ti back today.

I didn't pay until today(1/17) because it's a lot of money and I had to wait to get paid Friday, but overall I'm happy with the process. Only 3 weeks from application to approval.

I was worried something was wrong with my step 3 but based on the some yours I am still within the window of usual wait times.
I payed for the best shipping possible any ideas when to ship mines out I need it for work purposes and can't do much on laptop 1650 ti with amounts of data I am dealing with.

Step-up from 3080 to 3080ti Living in Norway, sending to German branch - Step 1: July 11th 2021: EVGA Step-Up RMA Request - Step 2: Jan 14th 2022: Step-Up Queue completed - Step 3: Jan 14th 2022: Step-Up approved - Step 4: Jan 17th 2022: Payment confirmed (And I sent my 3080 to EVGA the same day) - Feb 2nd 2022: My card has been received for inspection by EVGA Germany branch Edited, added newer info below: - Feb 4th 2022: Ship Date for my new 3080ti - Feb 9th 2022: My new 3080TI card has been received, and my step-up is complete!! (Acclimatization currently ongoing before final installation into PC :) )

That was roughly the same timeline I experienced for my first step up. I was able to step up from a 1030 to a 3080 ti back before they changed the rules.

Yes. Bcause of this step-up, I have become much more positive to EVGA. My PSU just went south (Started to make some terrible noise, and since it is old, I don't bother repair it), so when I got a good price on the Supernova 850W G6 (Approx €120), I went for that as a replacement. If this was some time ago before this step-up, I would probably have bought a Corsair.
