I'm curious as to how the majority of Elite member got their status. My guess is the vast majority got it from purchasing an eligible product. Then from twitch points, and lastly from forum posts. Though I'm guessing form posts is rapidly catching up, since it's been hard to get certain EVGA products.
As for me I plan on getting it via channel points.  The twitch stream is always interesting, and I missed tech tuesday :( I even had a tech question I wanted to ask

..which is to say I already had well over 100 posts and multiple qualifying purchases when the Elite program came into being.

So it's not just directly from EVGA's site that qualifies, also note that you need 2 products in the last 12 months if it isn't a GPU, not just one.

I'm thinking buying from those who aren't Authorized resellers would count as a secondhand purchase, and wouldn't qualify, but I'm not 100% sure on that.
Amazon is listed as an Authorized reseller, but it would only apply to items sold directly by amazon, a marketplace seller wouldn't be an authorized reseller.
Also note that if it's not a GPU, you need two items, not just one.
