As I mentioned in the title I'm using the EVGA 2080 Ti FTW3 and today I saw something like a thermal pad leak on the backplate. When I turned on ASUS 1080Ti before (3 Year Card and I had maintenance about 1 month ago) I realized that I was late for maintenance when I saw the same leaks.
 
I bought this card second hand and it will be in its second year in 3 months. I want to do it whenever I can, so as not to neglect its maintenance. But I don't know which pad brand and what thickness to choose. I don't know if I should use the same thickness for the whole board or choose different thicknesses for different components. Since I already live in Turkey, the pad selection seemed a bit limited to me.
 
Is there a schematic of the FTW3 series as in the link below?
 

 
Also, what would be the harm of applying 1.5mm or 0.5mm pad where 1mm is needed?
