Had this new z20 for about 2 months now. Some of my keys are beginning to get stuck down and the volume wheel is also tight. Waste of money so far. I went back to my standard keyboard. I think this mechanical stuff is overrated

The Z20 actually uses optical switches. The switches themselves are just an empty housing, spring, and stem. I would pull off the keycap to see if there is anything sticky on the switch stem that can cause it to not rebound back up. If its one of the longer keys (shift, back space, enter, etc etc) check to make sure that the stabilizers are secure and clipped into the stabilizer wire properly.

Keyboard is still new. Nothing spilled or sticky. It's happened on a couple number keys so far. They rebound right back, but if pressed in a certain way they'll stick down.

This might be a one off. I've tried pressing all the keys on the Z20 in various ways and and angles and couldn't get any of the keys to stick. Contact our support team so we can set up a warranty replacement for you.

I have been having issues with this. The keys are not actually sticking but they are acting like sticky keys are getting turned on and its almost imposable to clear. I have also been getting issues with it disconnecting and it will stop responding complete. I have tried factory reset and checked for firmware updates as well as updating the drivers. I have the z15 which i used to use and now use for work and it has been flawless.

I was able to fix the sticking key issue!

    1) Use the tool that came in the box to remove the key.
    2) Once removed if you look under it you might find a bump from the manufacturing, use an exacto knife or some kind of small knife to carefully smooth it out.

Once I shaved some plastic away it worked perfectly! Hope this helps!

If you're on a AMD system make sure that your MB bios is update to date. There are still some USB issues with AMD motherboards when using USB 2.0 ports. Make sure to plug the keyboard to a USB 3.0 port. If you're still having issues contact our support team directly for further assistance.

Thank you! My H key was sticking and I was about to return the keyboard. I just used my thumbnail and scraped off the tiniest little nub from the tool marks left over from the molding process.

I ran into the same issue on my new, 1 day old linear Z20. The 3 key sticks if I pressed it all the way down.

I took an exacto blade to some minor imperfections on the slight convex protrusion along the height of the plastic key cap and now it works perfectly. After testing every other keys, I didn’t find any other issues.

Thanks to wipeout831 for the solution and blakesmith for the picture!

This keyboard still have that issue ,I just smash it in parts, since i was trying to do my math work and 44444444444 ..... going straight across don't help me at all getting proper answer in . There was a few other keys doing it also , I got this one on sale with the wireless/wire mouse set ( mouse work flawless) Believe my came from amazon and not straight from them . Had run out and buy a razer keyboard so i could finish my school work . It was a build up of being pi#$ off over that issue for last few months . Tire wasting money on trash when it post to be good product , I know there always going to be that one part that not made right ( Mondays tend lead to that ) . I didn't know it was a known issue , very old one at that . Quality control might need to come in play here and do a random 10-20 keyboard check .

This is the same method I used to fix a few sticking keys I had.  Works fine and keys haven't stuck since.
