When waking from sleep or hibernate I noticed my Fan 2 on my 1080 SC2 kept cycling between 0 and my set fan curve. So I'm forced to open X1 and load my profile again. This clears up the problem until the next time the computer wakes from sleep. I see an option for applying previous settings on load so could we make it also do this on waking the computer? This has been happening for as far as I can remember with various versions of X1 and Nvidia graphics drivers. The only reason I noticed is because of the slight clicking noise I could hear when it would start up the fan over and over again.

Firmware on my card is the latest I could find on the official pages of 86.04.60.00.81

Let me know if there's any other troubleshooting that I could do.

Are you leaving PX1 running (in the system tray or even up on the desktop) the whole time or are you closing it before going into sleep or hibernate?

I leave it running in the system tray since closing it would mean no custom fan curve. Also faster to just open it from the tray and load a profile before I go about my day.

Tried just now sleeping with it open on the screen and it cycled fan 2 like it does in the tray. Then closed it all the way, sleep/wakeup, and launch again. That brings it up like a fresh system restart or a load of a profile so it doesn't cycle the fan on/off.

I'll try it when I get a chance tonight at home. I guess I rarely use sleep or hibernate, so you've got me curious. :) I don't use any but the default profile though.
Are you on Windows 10 or 11? What version?

Windows 10 Pro fully updated to 21H1 19043.1165

I've tried various versions of the BIOS for my card and it hasn't helped, but I would guess it it's something specific to me. The only thing I have changed on my default profile is the fan curve to minimize fan resonance (buzzing) at certain percentages. Attached is the custom fan step curve that jumps up at certain temperatures so it makes less noise.

I tried it with a similar fan profile but I'm not getting those issues with my 2080Ti, unfortunately different from yours.
You might want to submit a support ticket. Info for that here.

Thanks for giving it a try. I've submitted a ticket for it so at least they should be aware of it
