im upgrading motherboard because from other recent upgrades i will have enough hardware minus graphics card to build 2nd rig im not sure on b550 or x570.
im looking at asus b550 f gaming and asus tuf x570 plus and msi mag x570 tomahawk my current cpu r5 5600x and ill be installing a nmve 4.0 in top and using my 3.0 on bottom. i dont overclock just wanting to make right decision on a good overall solid gaming motherboard.

looking for one with good rgb i use nzxt smart device to control fans but nzxt cam osd is crap so looking to control fans and rgb through mobo.

Well, to be honest, unless you need the PCIe lanes, an X570 is likely more than you need...a B550 should suffice.

Save a few bucks and still get improvements.

But That's my opinion, wait for more knowledgeable opinions from other users.

The MSI Mag X570 Tomahawk is a great board...however...as far as RGB goes...only one strip in the upper right corner.  Excellent VRM temps and a basically solid board performance wise...there are RGB headers on the board...but controlled by MSI software...which is meh!  My case (Lian Li Lancool II) has it's own RGB controller for case fans...

yes ok,my nzxt case has its on which works well its just thier osd doesnt work while playing alot of newer games so i use afterburner. i have been looking hard at the mag x570 and there is a msi b550 tomahawk also that would save a little cash.
