Hello everyone, I was lucky and was able to buy a EVGA 30 series card from EVGA through the que. I’m coming from a FE 3090. One of the reasons I decided to get this card was because people said water cool cards run quite. Fan noise annoys the hell out of me so I decided to to try this card. Everything about the card is great except for the fan that’s on the card. My system runs rather cool I’d say. My case fans are controlled through Icue and I keep them at about 30% until temps go over 60 degrees Celsius. Well the fan on the EVGA card goes to 2k rpm no matter what I play and it is annoying the hell out of me, does anyone know a fix for this? I replaced the fans on the radiator with some Corsair LLs. Rarely does any of the case fans or rad fan goes over 30%, but now I have this one fan spazzing as soon as temps hit 40 Celsius.

Which bios are you running, normal or OC? The normal bios (switch position) will set a less aggressive curve for the fan on the card. Otherwise you could do a custom fan curve. Just monitor VRM temps. A few degrees increase won't hurt anything (assuming they are low now of course).

I'd run with MLs before LLs.

I realize this is purely anecdotal, especially since I haven't seen mass reports of ML problems anywhere, but I was figuratively burned by Corsair ML's in the past. Had 6 of them in my Corsair 9000D Case with my EVGA SR-2 mobo. All but one died, one after the other, in less than 2 years. Most likely got a bad batch, but needless to say I was soured to that line of fans after that.

I eventually replaced the failed ones with a 5-pack of Arctic Cooling fans (total cost was $34.99 CAD, vs much more than that for the ML's.) Until I got the AC's, I used spares I had laying around in a box of old PC parts as the ML's died. Those AC's are still running in my current build to which I upgraded 3.5 years ago.

Also, those AC's are now almost 3x the cost of what I paid for them. Sign of the times.
