Hello All

Would I need EVGA Precision X1 software for my Geforce 1660 Super?     Don't really know much on fan curves, don't plan to overclock,  just use system i guess at Default settings, and game, watch movies, and such.

Don't know if Geforce 1660 super gets any important updates from that software or not, or if it's like Geforce 30 Series that do.

I myself am not having X1 installed as in general I am not fan of such kind of software running on my system regardless of who manufacturer is.

I can't speak with authority would you have any benefits when it comes to updates because that assumes your card is not already up to date and that they would be issuing updates for such an old card later. In my case I have solved chance I might need it one day through "dual boot". One boot disk is my daily and it doesn't have such software on it, other is my "tools" boot that has X1 and Flow Control for those times I need them.

Yeah I'm not sure on having it in or not, for now left it out.    This card was only one i could afford in June 2020 to go with my newer motherboard, and Procesor at the time,   (Gigabyte B460M_DS3H and Intel 10700)     though probably should've just spent a little more and at least got a 2060 K0, but already needed a newer case when i got the card, as didn't quite fit in my Asus G11CD-K OEM Desktop case lol.

Think for now just will leave the software out, and think i should be hopefully fine

I believe you should be fine, I'm just fine without it on my daily. And another reason why not to install it on daily: It is a royal pain in the ... to completely uninstall it if needed.

I can relate :( On the positive side, even though it is an old(er) card you should still be able to get plenty of fun out of it.
