My experience with the step-up-programm is not so positive! I'm from Germany (where the european headquarter of evga is located) and i entered the step-up-qeue for a 3090 FTW nearly 5 month ago and i didn't received any update since the step-1-mail. The invoice was uploaded directly the day may 3070 arrived in December 2020 but nothing happens, ... but wait, that was wrong! One thing happend: EVGA increased the Step-Up-cost by more then 300 €!!! Yay, so we are not only beeing scalped bei some retailers or private sales person, know we are beeing scalped by the production company himself because they want a much more bigger piece of the cake! Thanks for that ... NOT! We customers here in europe don't see the kind of service as you customers in north america, but we are often pay much higher prices by less customer service.

Ack, sorry you've been having a rough time. The long waits are to be expected, but the sudden massive price increase...ouch. Hopefully that was just due to low supply or something, and it goes back down. Otherwise I might tell them to stuff it if the queue pops for you.

no movements at all lately?

There was a bunch of movement last week in the normal queues, but no one's posted any progress here, so I dunno. The spreadsheet's author has been offline for over a month now, and no one has edit permissions for the list, so it's kinda outdated at this point. I know I'll hit a month of waiting next week, though I imagine some folks are higher than that.

Ugh, I would have thought, based on the movement we saw in June, that you would have hit step 2 by now. This does not give me much hope for my June 24 step 1 status.
 
I think a lot of folks figured out that they would take 210s and flooded the queues. I know a buddy of mine tried to do that shortly after the 4th of July and when he attempted step up he got a message saying that those cards were not eligible for step up.

I'm on May 22nd as well. I think 12pmish. Maybe next week there will be movement; it's up to May 18 apparently.

June 22, Still step 1. Definitely seems to have slowed significantly, I'm not expecting much movement for a good while.

It feels kind of bad to just miss out on a month wait time.

I started mine July 1 from a 3080 TI FTW. Looks like I'll be waiting a while.

Especially since the new 3090s being replaced from New World fiasco I expect even longer wait.

I doubt it will have an effect. You usually get a used/refurb card from RMA, not brand new ones.

I wouldn't be so sure since EVGA is doing a "Immediate Replacement" depending on how many units are affected I don't see why they wouldn't tap into their "New" Inventory

Ouch. Well, guess I should have opened mine up after all. I keep thinking "If I open it up and install now, they're gonna email me any day then to let me know the new card is ready, and I kinda don't want to go through that annoyance" but now I'm realizing I should do it anyway just to get the email, heh.

? what does opening a product have to do with losing a part? like damaging the card?
 
I'm stepping up from 3070ti, originally to 3080 but since the LHR and what not it just happened to sit not so well with me. Figured 24gigs of VRAm will help me on cad work anyways. however I don't understand not using the card just because you are afraid of damaging the card. unless you ave something of 20 series that's about equivalent to whatever you purchased from

You should sell the 1080 and use the 3060. I did that with my 1080ti. I sold it for $800 lol

Guess this is kinda dead right now. At this rate I will get my 3080ti first which is unexpected.

I got in the queue on 7/7 with a GeForce 210, it's the kr model of the card.
