Hi, I'm new the forum, but have an issue and am looking for advice or a solution. I just bought an XR1 and hooked it up in a minute. Video quality is great when running OBS, but the audio is really, really low. Below is a scenario: Call of Duty:
+Video quality is great (recorded via obs)
+Teammates audio to my headphones is normal
-My chat audio to my teammates is really low (recorded via OBS)
-Audio to my headphones is really low (not high enough)
Normally my headphones are super loud and not at full volume.And yes, the audio is maxed on the XR1 between both phones and controller input.

Are you gaming from a console or a PC and is your chat and headphone audio going through the XR1 or is it connected directly to the PC? Please provide information about the platform you're gaming from and if you can provide a breakdown of your setup and perhaps a video of one of your sessions, so we can try reviewing this.

Thanks. -HMDI in from PS4 into XR1 -HDMI out from XR1 to Monitor -USB in from XR1 into USB PC Laptop -Gaming headset into headphones 3.5 in XR1 -PS4 controller into 3.5 controller in XR1 Edit: One thing I haven't is plugging both usb cords into the laptop. I don't have the extra slot right now. Why are there 2 usb cables at one end?

Thanks for the great service. Your product sucks. Now I just black screen on OBS. Before that the image was freezing but the audio was working.

One thing I haven't is plugging both usb cords into the laptop. I don't have the extra slot right now. Why are there 2 usb cables at one end?
Have you solved that yet? If you have under-powered it and have used it improperly, it's hard to blame the product.

I have it plugged into an AC powered USB hub and it's the same result. A response from anyone would have been nice. Piss poor service even if I wasn't handling the setup properly in the beginning.

The point I was trying to hint at is that you may have damaged it. It's hard to accept your complaints against the product when you openly admitted that you were not using the product correctly. Under-powering it could have damaged it and caused the initial problem which then escalated to the point that it stopped working correctly at all. It cannot be ruled out as a contributing factor.

Could it be possibly the laptop? Honestly, with my past experiences using various capture cards, the USB bus power may not be enough resources being available could be also issue, depending on the make of the laptop and its own specs alone. What kind of laptop do you have exactly?

Do the headphones have there own drivers? Did you check your O/S sound options? There was no problems until you plugged in the sound card right? What gpu are using? What O/S are you using and is it up to date? Makes and models of what your using for your desktop/laptop would be helpful and which make/models of tv/monitors your using.

Edit 2021-10-05 19:27 EST - So the volume controls DO work, they only control the mic (from the headset/mic port) and the game sound (whether the game sound is coming from your controller/3.5mm jack or coming from and HDMI). BUT the Microphone is too quiet and the sound coming out when routing the sound from the controller and through the XR1 IS WAY TOO QUIET!! EVGA!! THIS IS NOT OKAY!! It's so quiet. It's crazy. And there's no way to adjust the volume out even with software. Guys, you gotta fix this. I'm having this exact same issue and the XR1 claims it adjusts volume but no matter how high or low I adjust EITHER side, the volume I hear is the same. Not sure what is happening here. Probably gonna make another post if I can't find any helpful or useful information or I might contact EVGA, I don't really know. Just frustrated and confused and figured it would be worth it to let it be known that this apparently is not a one off problem.
