Pre-ordered the Corsair 7000X. The first run sold out real quick apparently.

Well..  Now I'm a wee bit nervous about whether my Thermaltake AH-T600 is going to have similar issues...

I tried to look at some pictures to answer your question. But there is so much going on with that case it's hard to know where the PSU starts and the motherboard ends.
One picture seemed to show a large gap. Plenty of room if I'm right.
It's hard to imagine that any full size tower like that would not work.

I think you'll be fine.

I think the 5000D comes up short because they tried to allow plenty of room for a radiator at the top of a mid size case and the motherboard tray got shortchanged in the vertical dimension. Another half inch would have been all that we would need. When I went to install the motherboard I realized it was weird when I didn't have room for my hand to support the bottom edge as I put it in place.

I blew up the picture show show the space between the bottom of the motherboard and top of the psu shroud.
I haven't seen any other case with so little space.

I'll bet nobody cares but me at this point but after taking some measurements I figured that plug had to fit.
I finally got the plug in the front audio connector. I decided I really didn't want an audio card.

I laid the case down and removed all motherboard screws. Without disconnecting anything I shifted the board gently toward the top about 3mm.
Then lifted up the bottom edge of the board and inserted the plug.
When finished there is 2mm clearance for the plug wires at the bottom.
If I ever get a graphics card I'll find out if I scratched any traces on the backside of the board

Here's the clearance

Quick question, as I have the 5000d case as well, when you upgrade to the 7000x what are your plans for the second USB 3.0 plug for the case on this board? I think that's one thing that's keeping me away from swapping out 5000 for the 7000 (kinda dumb I know)

Not a dumb question. I'd like to know the answer to this too since the 7000D might be my next case if I have any case related issues when I start up.
I had assumed there would be some type of splitter but I can't see that from pictures.

According to the 7000X manual on page 11 [link] (page 8 of the pdf), there is only one connector, so it would appear all 4 front I/O USB 3.0 plugs run off that one connector?

My case was delivered literally 2 minutes ago (I was typing this post when the door rang). I'll check it out shortly...

edit: OK, just opened it up. Big heavy case. Looks great, but yes there are 2 x USB 3.0 connectors coming from the front I/O. I guess I will only be using 2 of the 4 front USB 3.0 front ports then - same applies for Z590 FTW or Dark motherboards. I think you would have to buy a USB PCIe card or maybe an internal USB 3.0 hub of some sort to make use of all 4 front ports. I usually run 1 or 2 extension cables from the rear I/O anyway, I don't use the front USB ports as much.

Oh man! I feel like a kid on Christmas Eve waiting for the answer. If that's the case then I may return the 5000d and go for the 7000d?

I did find this over on techpowerup.com:
https://www.techpowerup.com/review/corsair-7000d-airflow/4.html
In there it shows a snap of the cables and has two 3.0 connectors. Let us know if the case differs!

I edited my post above - it has 2 separate USB 3.0 connectors for the front I/O.

Not sure if I would want to use these but I found two splitters if anybody is thinking about using all four 7000X or D USB3 ports with the Z590 FTW or Dark.
And I have no idea how this might affect the USB signals.

I also never use all the front panel USB but I have a thing about stuff not being hooked up

Nope didn't try on the grill yet, lol - the 7000X case only arrived late yesterday, and I'm working all day, so this weekend if I don't get a chance earlier. :/  Have you got your Z590 Dark and tried it out yet?

I haven't opened my Z590 Dark either, I guess I should check it out in case I have to spend 45 minutes with needle nose tweezers trying to get all the bits of protective plastic off like with the Z590 FTW. Ugh - dual loops is a mission - and I thought just one was a bit of a pita. Over the last few days I took apart the 3090 GPU block completely and cleaned it out and reassembled with fresh thermal paste (went with MX-5 this time). Cleaned out the pump/res too - Corsair Hydro XD5, what a mission to open it up - no idea why they didn't just make it cylindrical with a top that screws off and a rubber grommet, but nope, engineers got real busy on this one lol.. crazy. Also got a new copper plate for the CPU block (Optimus V2) so it's ready to rip. Have to thoroughly rinse out the new radiators next, then plan out how I'm going to run the loop. Soft tubing, maybe not the most aesthetic, but it does the job.

Oh shoot, you just made me nervous. I thought I got it all but man when I think I got it I realize those darn EVGA logos had plastic on them the whole time (lookin at you 2080 ti). Going to inspect the board this weekend again haha!

Opened up the Z590 Dark - I guess they got the memo about the protective plastic on the Z590 FTW - very quick and easy to remove it from the Z590 Dark, fortunately. Thanks for that EVGA.

I spent the last couple of hours doing more cleaning - rinsed out the 2 x new 360mm rads... Corsair claims they are pre-flushed, but I was still seeing a few specks come out after the 2nd flush on both radiators. Ended up 4 flushes with hot distilled water and they're both good now. Ran the pump with hot distilled water and flushed the GPU and CPU blocks in case there was any residue left in there, but it was all good, then I got a little brush and scrubbed every fitting I have with hot distilled water - quite a few of them had residue left over from the clear EK-Cryofuel I had been using. Not terribly impressed with that stuff, so this loop I'm going with Corsair's Hydro X Series XL8 performance coolant (clear). 2:30am here.. best I get some sleep.

@Nereus, a small request. Since you got the 7000X, I saw the GN video of their 7000D Airflow version, both are same except for the new Commander XT module on the X version and glass. The thing which caught my attention was the SATA HDD bays, they do have rocking on them which Steve mentions plus only a single thumbscrew. Can you please kindly let me know if they rock even with a HDD installed ? The reason being, I have a bunch of WD Red Pros which are 7200RPM drives and this case seemed best with high quality Steel feet and looks great as well vs Phanteks Enthoo 719 is having plastic front and bottom, Fractal Meshify XL has plastic feet, plastic front panel and looks bare min and O11DXL simply is not cut out for Red / Exos or any HDDs because of lack of ventilation for the HDD bay, it has no holes either and not possible to even install Noctua 40mm fans because the HDD bay handle comes in between the back plate leaving no gap. Thanks in advance !!
