Just received my new Z590 Motherboard from UPS and the inner box is just sitting inside of an outer box with no protective padding at all!! I would think your packers would have least put some packing peanuts or something to keep the inner box from bouncing around inside.

Update:  Just wanted to apologize for my rant last night.  I had a really long, and vey bad day at work.  So when I got home and seen how it was packed, I over reacted a bit...My apologies to EVGA, and the board was not damaged..  Wouldn't hurt to use packing peanuts or something to keep the inside box from bouncing around however, just some feedback to she packing/shipping department.  :o)

I will still, always buy EVGA hardware for the great products, and amazing customer service that is second to none!!

I understand your annoyance but realistically what is the difference of the inner box flopping around or being packed tight and the outer box flopping around?

Flopping around inside. Please, listen to your loyal customers!! We pay extra for EVGA Hardware and we expect extra on your end as well. Please don’t end up like Amazon. Just some feedback from a EVGA fan who has spent an enormous amount on EVGA HARDWARE.

I have complained to EVGA about it before too.

Because it's very rough on the contents when they get knocked around during shipping. I had to send back a X299 Dark motherboard because EVGA didn't put any padding in the shipping box and it knocked the cpu cover off and the cover bent the pins in the cpu socket.

Must depend on who's working at the time.
My outer box was well fitted also.

EVGA's board packaging is absolutely pathetic compared to the older boards (like X58 classified, X79, sr-2) and literally every other brand.  The SR-3 box has the IO cover right up against the top of the box, mine came dented and smashed so I took it off of the board since it looks ugly anyway.  It is pretty silly that a 2 thousand dollar board comes in a box that's barely big enough to fit it with no foam or packing material at all on top of the board with the accessories box over the pcie slots to hold it in place.  Lack of manual is another issue but I guess most people just download them online anyway.

It should NOT depend on “Who’s working”. Anyone packing this expensive hardware should be fully trained to do so. And if they they are in a hurry and slap it together then they should be reprimanded. I don’t mind paying extra for great hardware and great support, but the very first thing we as buyers see, is how the package was prepped for shipping. We can’t do anything about all the people who work for UPS/Fed Ex who literally throw packages, but EVGA as a company should at least train their employees to pack them with care, to be able to withstand the torture the package may face, and the damage done done due to poor packing.

Is this really a serious question?  buy one and do a couple of 6 foot drops with the inner box and tell us how it goes.

Got the dark, product box is a lot bigger than the Z390/Z490 dark and SR-3 board boxes, almost twice the size.  It has actual foam padding around the whole board now, bottom, sides, top and is actually pretty nice.  Outside box still no packing material at all though lol but only had a small crease at the edge of my product box.

i love evga but i wont pay that kinda of money for a motherboard i mean what makes thier motherboards so special . msi asus and some others have been making them alot longer with better pricing. and with the cost of the mobos you would think they woul have great protective packaging. my bstock 2080ti xc came in a plastic shell inside the bigger shipping box shaking and banging around in it so maybe thats why i had to rma it but evga was quick and great on returning me a 2080 ti xc ultra very well packaged. the customers spend the hard earn dollar and should recieve orders protected for safe shipping.

No surprise here, had a RMA replacement Z490 Dark shipped the exact same way, though thankfully it was 5x5. Nevertheless, I found it to be pathetic to say the least.

I know this is an older thread, but I wanted to point something out to EVGA concerning how they ship, brand new, expensive hardware, and how they expect US, as consumers to ship back faulty products back to them, under an RMA....

When I received my new Z590 FTW, it was just put inside a bigger box, with absolutely NO packing around the box what so ever. The actual motherboard box was free to bounce around inside the larger box as UPS/FedEx throws it around. Turned out my RGB/LED's did not work on the I/O shroud, so had to send it back. Was it caused from the box bouncing around??, I have no idea, but you never know...
NOW, This is from the EVGA website when you file for an RMA: And I quote:

"Please ship your product back in a well packed, sturdy box. Pack your product with at least 2" of packing material on all sides to ensure no damage is caused during transit".

So, EVGA's shipping Dept can pack our brand new, expensive hardware improperly, but if its defective, we have to pack it safely so no damage can occur during shipping???
I really hope someone at EVGA reads this. Others have stated they have received damaged hardware just from poor packing, and its a simple fix if they would just call the shipping department, and tell them to pack items carefully, and if they dont know how, train them to do it right..Its not rocket science..

I got my new Core i9 11900K from Newegg, and they had packing material around the box completely on all sides, which is what EVGA should be doing considering they expect that from us on returns...
Just wanted to point this out as I found it interesting reading it while I prepared my RMA Return...

"i love evga but i wont pay that kinda of money for a motherboard i mean what makes thier motherboards so special ."  If you have to ask that question, then you havent done the research. Also, the amount of time a company has made something really does not attest to the quality of the product, only that the marketing and pricing was correct. Example? Seagate HDD's. As far as evga's lacking in shipping quality i couldnt agree with you more and ,in fact, this is something that weve complained about for years and years now.
