I have upgraded both ny X79 and Z490 Builds with RGB lighting and EVGA closed loop CPU coolers.
The X79 was upgraded with a Bitfinex RGB case, Corsair Light strips, and an EVGA CLC 280mm RGB CPU Liquid Cooler.
And the Z490 Build was fitted with a set of Corsair LL120 RGB fans and a EVGA CLC 360mm RGB CPU Liquid Cooler.
The temps in both rigs are much lower and visually it's light night and day.

Nice job Chaos! Alot of work you did right there. I like the orange strip you did at the bottom of the x79 rig...it makes it look like fire light against the psu. Great effect....whether you meant to or not.

I'm one of those "RGB needs to die in a fire" kinda people.
Still, those look like some decent system setups.

    what a Chaos tic situation

    Good lookin builds

Those who abuse power, are nothing but scumbags! The challenge of power is how to use it and not abuse it. The abuse of power that seems to create the most unhappiness is when a person uses personal power to get ahead without regards to the welfare of others, people are obsessed with it. You can take a nice person and turn them into a slob, into an insane being, craving power, destroying anything that stands in their way.

I use the second one for folding, but I don't always have it running.

The biggest issue was cooling, I was running an ASUS 240 CLC and the 10700K's boost clock just overpowered the cooler. So I opted for an EVGA 360 CLC and tried to top mount, but it wouldn't clear the RAM on the motherboard. So I ended up front mounting the cooler. I would have prefered it top mounted.
Anyway, to end on a good note, the temps are good and I am still pleased with the results.

Lighting is what gives your build the pizazz that gets noticed, not only a conversation piece, but your gaming rooms centerpiece.

Intel's next gen Alder Lake processors look interesting, so my next build could be in the works.
