So, I just installed my 3080 ti FTW3 Ultra. I decided to use one of those pole-style support brackets which I've placed at the front of the card shroud to prevent sagging. It's only a few MM from the front fan. Do you guys use this brace? If so is this a good spot for it? Is it too close to the fan?

I would tie it up a few inches. Maybe just a couple. Couple of zip ties would do that easy without crimping the hose. Probably will not matter but why not cost 20 cents.

I'm talking about the support bar in front of the card.

Yeah sorry about that. I was thinking of the hoses. Yes I used my little brace from ASUS. Just to give a bit more brace.

As long as it is not touching fan and don't have earth quakes probably safe. The 3000s don't even turn fans unless being worked.

Could warp or bend the plastic shroud if the bracket is resting on the thin edge part of the card.

No way they are not even close to the fan, I doubt you could twist the edge with your fingers into the fan. Plastic doesn't stretch that much.

3080 ti has anti sag bracket in package. You can create a mount for your case easily - and fix it to the side or bottom. As I created one, everyone can.

I don't have the tools or knowledge to work with metal like that.

If you can assemble PC nicely then you are able to do also other things. You do not need many tools, it is just piece of aluminum sheet, which you can bend, hammer and drill. Bracket on card is already in box, you just need to carefully mount it on card.

Anti sag stand is ok, I also had order but I canceled it, because it does not prevent card up movement. It is weird that Evga does not provide more generic anti sag solution.

Can you provide more pictures of your solution? How it looks in the case from the side and where it attaches in a larger photo?

Anti-sag mount, just piece of aluminum (bought in hobby market for buck or two) with drilled channel to be able to position screws where necessary:

This mount also serves as a safe PCI-E lock unlock tool.

Mount in case, just need to find place where to screw thing, top side or bottom, in your case you can mount side or bottom I guess. With this solution, the card is screwed in place and rigid and manipulating PC cannot break card or socket. I made this because card and other parts of PC are very expensive these days.

I don't doubt it's rigid and strong. I am just contemplating how I'd make something like that.
