I've been building custom water cooled systems since 2006, so I know what it cost to build one. I have had a member pm me about the cost to do a custom loop and gave him my input.
 
Care to share what you think the initial cost for a custom RTX 3080 Ti HC water cooling loop would be?

I've been water cooling since 2004 and every time I rebuild it a more to to do. This time I made my  build to show setup which a lot of detail fitting, custom fitting for water lines,tubing different wall thickness which is more money. but I'm getting in extreme building not cheap!!!

Depends.  Doing hard or soft tubing?
With soft tubing, it's going to be cheaper, since you can route the tubing more freely.
With hard tubing, you're going to need more fittings.

For a 360mm rad unit, GPU waterblock, CPU waterblock, pump-res combo, and fittings, you're looking about $420USD with tubing.
Minus $110 out if you already are buying a GPU with a pre-installed waterblock.  And you're looking at about $310.

If you're going hard tubing, unless you're bending (NOT RECOMMENDED FOR A NEWB WATER COOLING GUY), you'll need fittings every time the hard tube needs to take a turn.

Not going to get into pricing for hard tubing.  Because there's so much variability between various plastic piping, glass and even copper.

Before emergency bills ate into my new system budget, I was looking at a hard-line copper setup that was, conservatively, in the $700 range.

Also, Alphacool DOES make an "expandable" line of AIOs.  You start with what looks like a semi-standard CPU AIO unit (Eisbaer).
But it has a quick disconnect fitting on one tube.  From there, with additional lines, you can daisy-chain in additional components.  Then you simply add fluid to the CPU waterblock-reservoir unit.  You can even tie in additional radiators, since the thing is built from more or less stock parts.

First time building a custom water loop was this year. In my experience, should've had a more clear vision of what i wanted. Was intimidated by bending the tubes my self so i opted for Ek 90's. Bought those didn't like the way it looked, really cause my runs were long and it looked to sag at the 90's. Saw Bitspower had some pre-bent 90's. Bought some lol. Yea, their not perfect 90 bend more like 100(Out of a pack of 4 maybe 1 was close to being true to the degree the rest were out BADLY).. Total Cost: TOO MUCH! Now that i have some hands on knowledge... way cheaper going air cooled LOL jk. Probably ~550 for a hardline loop.

Too vague of a question unless you know more about the rest of the system, the case its in, the type of tubing, and the requirements or use of the system.  I've built sub $300 loops and I've built $1700 loops.
