Great to hear of an update.
Though you only convince me more to stay away from the fluid cooling for now.
(Of course, with the AiO cooling I would avoid your problems, though I wonder how refilling them works and how long after installing it one would have to worry about it...).

Re: Project BEHEMOT 2021/06/21 05:52:24 (permalink)
Time for some BEHEMOT performance results
What is important and very important for these tests is the fact that the temperature in the room is 29C, so it is not low compared to what is in winter, i.e. 19-21C.
Another fact that needs to be taken into account is that P14s at 1200-1300rpm generate a noise similar to Pure Wings 2 at 900 rpm, so despite the high revs they are not overly loud, it is worth noting that.
Okay, time for results.

All tests were performed with the memory settings:
4000 Mhz 15-15-15-28-280-1T 1.485V
Ambient temperature 29C
Each test consisted in looping the R20 until the temperature of the liquid stabilized.
I tested the following settings:
14x 47/31, 1.220V, TDP 400W
14x 48/31, 1.255V, TDP 440W
14x 49/31, 1.310V, TDP 520W
14x 50/31, 1.370V, TDP 600W
The results probably say clearly that BEHEMOT is a monster that even strong OC is not afraid of at air temperatures of 30C.
A sick beast arose 🙂

Previously, on COSMOS, there was no chance to run the 49/31 profile to render because the CPU immediately caught 110C even at air temperatures of 20C and everything stopped immediately.
Even on such hot days, BEHEMOT has no problem with a stable 50/31 rendering.

Also look at the temperature split between the cores, 1 core is much cooler than the others and we are talking about the first core but everything closes at 7-8C, something beautiful ❤

Now it only remains to wait for the winter days when the temperatures will go lower and I think that I have a guaranteed HWBot record for 14-core CPU CPUs cooled by LC, since Cosmos managed to get 2 results in the world, but with the balcony open 🙂
Soon there will be a small refinement of details and the final photo session.

The next larger upgrade will take place only when I buy rtx 3xxx, but these must be reduced to normal prices

Wonderful results! Those are some impressive numbers for getting the heat from that much power in that little spot out. I didn't know you even could put that much power into a cpu on water cooling.

Thanks guys!

You Can see that cooling power is phenomenal. This LC can cool everything :)

I bought some new screws because I wanted add some more gold details. Also I dont like standard MORA screws :P

Project is almost finish, I need some good camera for finał photo session and rev 1.0 will be comolete.

Of course I have some new ideas but it must wait for new GPU because then I will do new upgrades.

I Thought the Brass Fan Screws were a bit odd but looking back over photos They really do go with the colour theme.
The Case is reminiscent of my old CM Stacker 832 which i modded to buggery back in the day (It's since been scrapped but i still have 1 or 2 parts left)

Nice piece of art.

The cooling setup is total and utter overkill for the rig.
The crud buildup is an unfortunate byproduct of using colored liquid.
Also, I didn't see anything about radiator prep.

Small issue.
The big rad, it's aluminum?
If so, you understand that some of the crud you're accumulating is galvanic corrosion (because the Alphacool rads are copper).  Even the best additives don't completely stop that.
This means that, at some point, your radiators are going to either clog or start springing leaks.

I didnt write anything about preparstions because imo it was obviusly.

I have few friends whose had mora with 2x 560 rads and it Work 3 years without any problems. When You clean your radistots correctly before use liquid it isnt a problem to work few years without cleaning.
Belive me I know how to prepare Loop. I used mayhems blitz etc.

This LC isnt overkill.
I made it for future rtx 3090 and maybe treadripper 3960x/3970x.
3090 have 2x bigger TDP than 1080ti, soo...

This size of rad give me fantastic cooling performance with silent. And it is good for future upgrade etc.

MORA have aluminium fins but inside it has copper pipes.

Huh. I thought I posted a thank you note for clarifying these...  ?
Well, thanks again.

So given that you have quite some experience in building PCs, after you add 3090 GPU, do you have any expectations as to the temperature it shouldn't exceed (under load)? The same question for after later adding one of the Threadrippers.
I mean, that's surely not an easy prediction to make, but if you had to guess? :)

Cooling performance is huge. I think Delta T shouldnt be higher than 2-3C than now. Thrradripper dont need more power than overclocked 9940x, x299 has big power consuption but tr4 not.
