Hello, im looking to get a used EVGA 1080 ti SC2 which requires 2x 8-pin connectors, my power supply has a 2+6pin and a regular 6pin connector. I was wondering if a Powerlink would be able to fix my issue? If I run a 2+6 pin and a regular 6 pin into the Powerlink will it be able to power the 2x 8 pin connectors on the GPU safely?

Since the GPU has two eight pin connectors...you will need to feed the Powerlink with two eight pin or two 2+6 pin.  You will underpower the GPU otherwise

short answer = no, not a good idea at all
easy solution is to use an adapter that lets you use other plugs to make the remaining 8pin you need.

whatever extra cable outputs your psu has, you can find an adapter that will convert it into an 8-pin

Forget adapters. Use proper cables from your psu.
