I don't see why they'd release a 4000 series so soon when they currently have many thousands (millions?) of people waiting to buy 3000 series cards. That would be throwing away a lot of business. Then there's the issues with supply chain shortages - a new series would only complicate and compound that. Maybe some 3000 Super models will come out if they feel a need to release something just for the sake of having something 'shiny and new' to keep punters interested.

I estimate the odds to be very low. The rumors say the production of the new cards will start mid 2022, so probably we're set for a while. Even more so because there might still be a 3090 Ti coming, as well as some "Super" versions of different cards.

I personally would love to see NVIDIA do a Super model later this year. If they can offer gamers the same retail price and slightly faster memory or an overclocked card without a price increase or like a $50 increases then the resellers on eBay would have the “old” non super cards that people don’t want as much and have to cut the price down drastically to unload them.

True! That's basically what happened the previous iteration as well, as soon as the Supers showed up, they couldn't really get rid of their "normals", but a lot of companies in the Netherlands tried to just pretend the Supers didn't exist until their previous stock ran out. Luckily, that didn't really work. Pretty scummy really.

Just announce 30xx Morestock edition (or something like that, you get the point) and push the next generation back with a year. 3080/90 are currently overkill for most so we need to catch up to even need more powerful cards.

I've seen more stories that 2022 will be the year when next gen GPUs will be released. 1st gen Intel GPUs will also release next year.

I really doubt it would happen. Even if the tech was ready, with the silicon supply so short and the current gen prices still absurdly high, it would be a bad more all around.

I don't think we will see the 40 series until the end of 2022 when NVIDIA may "launch" the 40 series. It would not surprise me at all if the "release" date goes into Q1 2023.

Most of the leaks have been pointing to 2022, but frankly I still can't get my hands on a 3080ti so it is all academic at this point.

I don't believe any new GPUs will be out this year. If NVIDIA decides to replace the current GPUs with 'super' models they will probably replace them one a one by one basis. There is still a chip shortage.

Read some more articles today that seem to indicate late 2022 for any type of new GPUs. In NVIDIA's last financial presentation their CEO said that he expects the shortage to be around until next year. I believe that answers the question of new GPUs this year.

I'd say there is 0 chance of September, and 0 chance of this year, unless somehow the supply crunch suddenly goes away. From a profit point of view little incentive to introduce a new product in what will be limited quantities, when you can't even meet current demand

More likely to announce super over 40 series. Probably 2022 or 23 before they do 40 series. Not to say they arent developing them currently though.

Next gen NVIDIA GPUs will be at 5nm fab production probably at TSMC. There is a rumor going around that the 'SUPER' series will be released the end of this year. I don't see that happening unless NVIDIA replaces the current lineup with the 'SUPER' series due to the chip shortage.
