I mean your amount is credited, but it's not about avoiding a retail scalping. So i got a 3060 @ BB for $399 so they give me credit for that against the cost of the 3090 if and when i actually get an email... Soon .
For me, i didn't actually want a 3060, i wanted a 3080 which is like impossible to get. So i got he 3060 so i could stepup to a 3090 which has a much better wait time.. Then i'll use 3090 casual bit-mine the price difference.

...is there any sign at which date / time the EU stepup queue to 3090 FTW3 currently is? at least its far behind NA :'(

in German Hardwareluxx Forum a user just received his StepUp Notification for 3090 FTW3 ... He signed up for Stepup in beginning of January. So the EU queue is more than four month behind the NA queue... I guess even more than six months are realistic (and the waiting is kind of sadistic (: , I signed up in mid of April and will have to wait for a long, long time as well).

UPS dropped off my 3090 FTW3 Ultra this afternoon. Now I guess I have no excuse but to put my new system together. LOL.

How long did you have to wait in the step up queue before your time came?

UPS dropped off 3070 Ti today, and I entered step up. Looking at about 1 month wait, right?

just eyeballing the spreadsheet looks like a ~2mo wait more recently (and could be longer)

Sure - back in April someone got through the queue in 24 hours. And now everyone on the internet knows the story and is signing up for a 3090 step up instead of a 3080. Which is why in May it moved to a month, and by now.... Who knows?

Well I entered stepup on 5/22 and still waiting on step 2. Maybe 1-2 months. There are probably a fair amount of people who did the step up with the 3070 TI as well. At least that would be my guess maybe I'm wrong.

Any updates? Seems 3090 are now dropping like crazy everywhere else but on EVGA queue

Entered the queue 12/31/2020. Got my notification on March 31st 2021 but I missed the email. I emailed EVGA on 7/1 and asked them if there was anyway they’d still honor my step-up; they reactivated me. Paid on 7/1 and got my RMA on 7/2. Sending it out tomorrow overnight.

Best service in town right there! Even though you are paying them $2k for it, no other AIBs would do this for any of us.

EVGA's service and customer support are very good.  The step up program is a huge benefit to the end user.  I went through this a few months ago and couldn't be happier with the process.  I know the wait can be long, but atleast they have a program like this.  I am in the process of helping a friend upgrade his 3060 to 3070 right now.  He waited three weeks after entry into the step up queue.  I told him the better performance option would be the 3080, but he is going to stick with 1080 so he figured he'd do the 3070 instead.  His 3060 is heading back to EVGA sealed in box.  He didn't even have a chance to install it.  Who ever gets his B-Stock 3060 scored a brand new gpu.

Also same, I haven't even opened up the 3080 Ti I picked up through Micro Center's "raffle". Figured the wait was gonna be short enough it wouldn't be worth the hassle to install it, enjoy it for a matter of weeks, then have to pack it back up and downgrade back to my 2080 for a week. Plus I do mining on the side when I'm not gaming, so I'd only see like a 10% boost there with the Ti anyway.

My old card was marked as received at 5:55ET. Estimated ship date is 7/12. Fingers crossed that it ships sooner.

Edit: just got tracking, it will be here tomorrow! Shipped the same day it was received.
