That's correct. Those who post spam might find themselves banned automatically by the system or a moderator.

Then again they might not get banned. There is simply too much of it to effectively combat it without policy change.

A lot of the spammers are finding themselves being automatically banned by the system.

You do have a choice.  If you know the answer, you can help members who are asking questions, you can provide your viewpoints on various threads where that is appropriate, and there are the General Forum games you can participate in as long as you follow the rules of the game.
 
I do not know why there is a rush for elite.  It will give you zero advantage on anything at the present time and the next product release will not happen until sometime early next year.
 
If you think this is stupid, then why are you here?  I'm actually interested to hear your thoughts and explanation of your statement.

Seems to be a general consensus in this thread that the 100 post seems to be clogging the pipeline to what might be useful information rather than general banter to get that count up.  I can agree, but I cannot think of an alternative.
 
What is worth pointing out is that 1 of 2 requirements (Qualifying Hardware) seems broken in today's post covid gfx card shortage days.  It probably made sense when cards were readily available, but it either:

• punishes loyal EVGA customers who have held cards for long periods of time and cannot upgrade to their card of choice (or at least get in line for the next round of new cards) because of supply bottlenecks.
• Says that EVGA cards aren't that great and customers will need to upgrade them every few years or so.  Or just have an abundance of expendable income and can afford to upgrade frequently.

From my own point of view, I have had ati and other MFG'd nvidia cards which failed or didnt perform well..  Got my first EVGA 7800gs in 2006 which lasted me about 7 years, upgraded to a new system in 2013 with an EVGA 780sc and picked up a second 780sc 5 years back, and this is my current rig which has performed exceptionally well for being 8 years old, but it's time to start thinking about upgrading.
 
My vote would be to ease the Qualifying hardware requirements and allow older registered card purchases to count towards Elite membership.  Seems like people with newer cards get priority over loyal customers that are just on tighter budgets and cannot afford to upgrade as frequent.

The 100 posts messed up the elite status ordering queue
pretty badly. Would be nice to see the 24 hour queue
but with day wait on emails and go by membership date
on queue for first 24hrs. Just a thought And TY mods
