EVGA X17 Mouse Rear LED always on and stuck on white

I just received my shiny new X17 mouse and fired up "EVGA Unleash RGB".  I get a pop up to update the firmware so I did.  Now the rear "E" logo is constantly on and stuck on white even with the system off.  I've tried changing colors or even turning it off using Unleash.  I'm almost sure it started after the flash since I only used it for a few minutes before flashing it and thinking it was changing colors beforehand.  All the other LED's work correctly.  I've tried  uninstalling and reinstalling Unleash and moving the mouse to another USB port.  Any suggestions?  Anyway to force the firmware update to reinstall?

    Similar issue with mine. I can change the lighting effect (static, rainbow, etc.) but when it comes to picking the colors for the Static feature it is stuck on white. EVGA wanted to send me a refurbished unit and I refused because it isn't even 5 months old. I definitely like mouse and the light is a minor detail to me, but still something that should be addressed. If an old firmware version was available, I'd like to try it.

    Mmm . . . this situation it's seems in many other brands . . . maybe, because of meeting demand the production process is so accelerated that the quality control is made fast and easy.

    When you go into the unleashes software can you change the front light color and the wheel color? If that works I would then try to click the chain link to sync the lighting and see what that does.
