Oh boy, here we go again... Didn't we tell you last time Microsoft that Windows 8 was a failure?
No one wants that dumb tablet/widget experience on a desktop environment. Smells like this is gonna eat up my hardware and I'll need a lot of fine-tuning to stop it.

At a glance it just looks like some UI changes. However, latest nvidia drivers have support for wddm3.0, so maybe windows 11 will support that.

I wish I had decent a secondary system with a 3080 or even a 2080 to test it out.  Only thing I am tempted to try right now is VMPlayer or VirtualBox.  Anyone tried that out with the windows 11 image yet?

Just hope the wrong version was leaked,   even I ain't a Win 10 guy, I still use Win7 Pro UK x64 on all my Opterons just fine.
I am hoping the actual release will be a lot more of an OS than some tablet program, even there are tons of mods for Win10 to make it work and look like 7, I just want all of that in the standard package, I am sick and tired of MicroFail controlling people to do what they want instead of what the people want.

As long Win7 runs I ain't going anywhere if I am forced to change I shall flew to Linux Kubuntu.
But so far that is not of need yet, thankfully, then again I used Win2K Pro + SP4 11 years after it's expire date just fine, Companies like to spread fear and marketing lies to force people to change, apparently that never had any effect on me thankfully.

The customer must decide what they one not the d*mn company.

Whats the deal with Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 2.0
    • what EVGA Boards have that? I assume my X299FTW doesn't because there is a Program you can run that tells you if you are compatible. It says i am not.

Desktop?  Hell, nobody wants it on a SERVER environment.

    Then shot some more!

Why YES.   I'm from Chicago...how'd you guess?

W11 requirements are pretty restrictive. A system just four years old with a top line cpu may not be allowed to run W11. As far back as 2016 TPM was a required firmware on MB’s but may not have been turned on by the manufacturer. Type TPM.msc in the Windows box to see if your system has TPM installed and enabled.

Older boards, four years, or with TPM vs 1.2 are not comparable with W11.

Google, W11 PC Health software to check your system compatibility with W11.
