I haven't managed to get anything into my cart, either at Best Buy or the AMD website. I'll take anything I can get (for a reasonable price) at this point, so I'm not picky about Nvidia/AMD. I just want something that's going to last.

Yeah I think only bots are able to somehow get around the please wait on BB's site.

The few, rare times I was able to cart--the item was never in stock in my area and shipping was not an option.

Best buy has been very disappointing, sadly, I used to love shopping there and online but the inventory vanish. Have not gotten out of Checkout with a card yet :(

The last in person event for GPU's was on the day of the 3080Ti release. We all know how that went. Folks camping and lining up overnight.

Yes. Stay signed in and add a random item to your cart ahead of time. So when you try to add GPU instead of getting wait, it simply adds to cart.
Try it.

What happens if you refresh, and if you don't refresh, how do you know when the cards become available? So far as I know, the in-stock/out-of-stock doesn't auto-refresh.

Please wait is the "added step" they're talking about. Once you hit "add to cart" you're in the queue for that card and it turns to "please wait". If the line gets to you and they still have supply your please wait will turn to "add to cart" again. At that point you need to get it into your cart, find the store near you that has the card(if it isn't your "home" store), select it, and into checkout asap. If you refresh during "please wait" you lose your spot. Have a different tab with your saved items open to refresh looking for stock/out of stock. Eventually the button will turn yellow but not work, presumably that's something in their script that has to happen when they go fully oos. Make sure you're logged in and have a valid payment method saved.

No but if you do manage to make it to the cart in the first drop you can let it sit there and then buy in the second drop bypassing it.

It seems to change every time for me. Sometimes the tamper script works, and other times I have to wait for the button manually.
