I have an RTX 3060 in the Step-up queue to go to a 3080Ti, and am currently on Step 2 of my step-up. I was wondering if purchasing the 10 year warranty for the 3060 while on this step would cause any issues for the rest of the step-up procedure. I know that the warranty carries over to the new card, and I also know that the price of these extend warranties increases based on the price of the card, so I'd like to purchase it while I have a 3060 if possible. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Hi DeFalco,

If purchasing the 5 or 10 Year Extended Warranty, the price would be for the current GPU.  Purchasing the Extended Warranty would not cause any issues for the warranty, or Step Up.  Once the Step Up is complete, and you have the new replacement, send a Support Ticket, and we will verify that the Warranty is transferred to the replacement GPU.

If you do not see the warranty status updated on the replacement 3080 Ti, in your My Products page, send us a support ticket.

I couldn't have asked for a more timely response - thank you!
I'll pick up the 10 year as soon as I get to step 3, just to play it safe in case something were to happen and my card wouldn't be eligible (ordered off LTTStore's VAG Program so I'm not sure if that's considered an authorized retailer, better safe than sorry!)
Thanks again Peter!
