I hate my roommate. I want him to hear every letter I type. Any recommendations on a keyboard that sounds like a machine gun?

lol . . . just buy a cherry MX blue, but for gaming the blue are not recomended, so, the best noisy and game friendly can be the brown switches or as @CraptacularOne said the razer green.

Get something with kailh box jades or box navies and he will need a pair of noise cancelling headphones.

Haha that is quite evil. I have 3 words for you.

Outemu Blue switches

I bought a budget mechanical keyboard form Amazon and it had this switch. It was the loudest thing I've ever heard but also good. There are alot of reviews online if you are interested.

I personally love the clicky Z20 keyboard. While I know some say clicky isn’t good for gaming it’s honestly not different then any other keyboard it just makes noise.

One thing you might find that would add some noise would be replacing the key caps with metal ones on a clicky keyboard so it resonates the sound more.

What in the world would the keys clicking on the board have to do with gaming performance? Even if the claim is somehow it impedes the key, by what....  .0000001/s?! I love and would rather have clicky boards too. I have a old IBM M keyboard with the built in speaker in it and the telephone cord etc... and im using evga's clicky z10 KB now.Long live the clickers!

buy the cheapest keyboard you can find and bind the keys to play a machine gun sound when you press the keys.  Aim wireless speakers in his direction.

Can confirm that the Z20 Linear and Clicky are both loud, but the Clicky is somehow louder.
FWIW, I just recalled that I was on a call with a couple of engineers a few weeks ago, and they immediately commented on how loud my (Linear) keyboard was. Through my headset microphone.

Have a Razer Blackwidow Chroma V2 that I purchased several years ago; it's plenty clicky and loud...enough that I've had to switch to using push-to-talk for any video calls or voice communications.(generally don't eat or snack at the computer and no other noise in the household otherwise) Prior to that, I had a Ducky Shine (I believe it was the original, but might have been 2) that was an Cherry-MX Blue; it was equally audible as well.

If you're truely dedicated to making him miserable, find an early 80's workstation keyboard. I've got one from a company called wang it has a cast aluminum body that literally has a solenoid inside to simulate the tactile feeling of a typewriter and it is obnoxious haha

I really don't mind it but of course the clicky is louder but I guess I am used to it as most of the mechanical keyboards I have tried are pretty noisy. If you wanted to make less sound you could try adding the o-rings to the keys. It takes a bit of time but would make it so people shouldn't notice it on a headset.

Blue switches hands down are the loudest. I have them on my steel series. Loud AF but I love the feel.

I used to game almost daily on my Razer Blackwidow with razer green switches and those were LOUD. Must have some sort of Stockholm syndrome as now with my new custom build with linear switches I sometimes miss my old trusty Razer

Ensure that it is an all metal case with no sound dampening rings. Use knock-off mx-blues with no grease. Ensure you always bottom out the keys.

That will maximize the noise.

Good luck
