Microcenter in Cambridge Mass. you could camp out over night to be first in line, that's going to change they will be posting the QR code for the cards at 9:30am on front door you will have to scan code with your phone to get one. They have just created kaos and there will be plenty of pushing shoving to get to the code. I have been there twice at 6:00am and everything was nice and quite while waiting this is about to change for the worse.

I think the only way the situation will gradually die down is through the vaccine rollout. Once everyone is vaccinated, people will go back to work and then fewer people will want GPU's since they're not at home as much.

It's crazy that the shortage is making people violent. I'm trying to practice my patience. There's been a crackdown on crypto mining in China that has caused graphics cards in China to drop in price. I really hope this helps the global supply just a little bit.

Honestly when I first saw these videos I was surprised there weren't people pushing people over or tripping them. This might be a sign of morals but considering how low the chances are, and how many are present, i'm surprised nobody thought to stoop so low or even accidentally fell over going over the concrete curbs causing a mini human pileup.
The sky is my only limit!

There is a lot of anger in general out there. Not being able to get a graphics card to play games in order to blow off steam is just another factor for a lot of people. I know I'd get angry if I saw somebody walking out of a store with five graphics cards. I'm sure there is a lot of corruption out there; a store manager or owner who knows a guy who throws him a wad of extra cash for first dibs on cards. And yes, mining is a big part of the equation. I was around for the 1000 series shortages during the crypto bubble of 2017-2018. Cards were hard to come by then also until the bubble finally popped.
