Better cooling for 2060 KO?

My PC is silent with Noctua fans and fanless PSU, but the stock 2060 KO is a tornado compared to them.
Is there any better cooling options available for this card, both air or aio?
Or is there any other way to attach better fans to it to make it quieter?

you can’t change the cooler on your graphics card. Make sure your case has enough ventilation

Technically you could, but it wouldn't look nice  There are aftermarket kits you could use, but I'm not sure if one for 2060 KO exist. It's usually exists for high end cards. Optimizing ventilation and using bigger/better fans surely help, but please note that sometimes less is even better the more fans.

The other way would be to undervolt the GPU and adjust the fan curve to minimize noise level. This is maybe not the easiest solution but it's without risk and at no additional cost, just a little time needed to tweak it.

You could do some ugly mods to your GPU, like the NZXT G12 can make a GPU be watercooled by using a kit and a CPU AIO (which is bought seperately) to put the CPU AIO onto a GPU using various mounting brackets; this is not the best thing though. You can also underclock the GPU and set a lower max temperature before thermal throttling but that would impact gaming performance.

Seems the 2060 itself has cooling issue. Is it still under warranty?

How is the ventalation in your case? you could repaste the gpu or add new thermal pads and see if it helps. or try the g12

I tried attaching 2 Noctua NF-B9 Redux PWM fans to the stock heatsink. I plugged the fans into the motherboard though, not the card. Although the fans were quieter, they did not cool the card enough. It would hit 83C with the Noctuas at 100% when playing a game with uncapped framerate.

My case has enough cooling, I just don't like turning up the fans too loud.

MY 2060KO was always loud. At uncapped fps it gets 78C at 83% fan speed. The fans are loud at that speed. I get around this by capping framerate to 60, which fixes noise on easy to run games, but demanding games that struggle to reach 60fps get the fans loud at 83% again.

Does anyone think a better Noctua fan strapped to the stock heatsink would work better than my cheap Noctuas? I'd be happy if new fans would do 77C at uncapped fps but provide quieter operation. The ones I bought have air pressure of 1.61mm, but a more expensive one has 2.28mm, would that make a big enough difference?

Just get the NZXT G12 with a noctua fan and some heatsinks for the VRMs and you will be more than happy

If you have the budget, do the NZXT G12 the poster above me mentioned.

If you happen to have the right case, you can do what's called the de-shroud mod that some guys do in the small form factor itx build scene.  Maybe you could rig something up with a custom bracket, even if you have a larger case?  It sounds like you tried something similar, but without seeing your setup, I don't know why that didn't get the job done.  A good case fan should be able to move enough air without much difficulty.

But it sounds like you have a pretty high end build.  Just go with the NZXT G12 and I think you'll be more than happy.

I would repaste it with better thermal paste. Usually it leads to reduction in fan RPM.

Agreed.  Fans won't rev up if you have better heat dissipation.
