2080 Ti FTW3 Ultra MEM2 temperature

Hello there,
 
I recently got a used 2080 Ti FTW3 Ultra and noticed that my MEM2's temps are hitting or really close to 100c, when I heard that the max safe temperature is 95c. I'm running my memory at 7000 mhz (which I believe is stock).
 
If I'm missing any important information please let me know.

    What happens to the temp when you run your gpu fans at 100%?

    What happens to the temp when you run your gpu fans at 100%?

    If I run my gpu fans at 100% it stays at roughly at 80c.
     
    Edit: Nevermind it would just hold it's current temperature when under load or drop its temperature by 1-2c.

    Sounds like you may need to reapply the thermal pads on that section of memory.

    There is a great deal of confidence that the problem is in thermal pads. there is no certainty that the previous owner accidentally installed them incorrectly. You need to start with this

    Something similar is happening to me... but with a NEW 3070 FTW... and with NO load 
     
    At some random point, "MEM2" temperature would rise to 98º C (with the rest between ) and the fan #3 would go 100% (the other two at 0%) for a few minutes... Just happened right now, just from the boot after 4 hours unplugged...
    And best of all: it gets cooler with load 

    Did you manage to find a cause and/or solution to your problem?

    bad contact with the cooler. happened to me sometimes if screws are not tightened or bad thermal pads
