I have a 7 yr old GTX970 FTW ACX 2.0 in my rig. I have never really overclocked the card since I have owned it. The computer pretty much stays running 24/7 as did the previous one I had it in. Running the stock fan curve while gaming, the cards temp will reach into the 70's. I set a more aggressive fan curve in MSI Afterburner and with that i can keep the temp in the low 60's but the fans are quite a bit louder.
I have read a lot of other posts on other forums where people say the cards temps run in the 60's normally.
So given the age of the card, I bought in Dec 2014. I am wondering if perhaps its time to crack it open and replace the thermal paste.
