The card itself works fine, however, the temperature will quickly climb up to 80-90 C while gaming. The radiator is also cool to the touch, so it looks like the pump is dead.

What are my options at this point? I can't find any replacement pump anywhere, is it possible to swap out the pump and use the pump from the 400-HY-1978-B1 (3090 XC3 kit)?

Well, is your card under warranty? Did the Hybrid come with the card or was it a kit? At the very least, if it was a kit, id put the air cooler back on so i could use it at least without cooking it for the time being because a top tier card with that many years on it running at 80/90c is going to have a VERY short life. If it was me and i had no other move to make then yeah, id get either a whole new aftermarket setup or if you can get a decent deal on a replacement pump from performancepcs or something then yeah id just change it out. Just make sure when you drain the current pump you catch the fluid and cap the lines if you go that route.

The card is about 6 months out of warranty. It was a hybrid that came with the card.

At this point, what kind of aftermarket setup would you recommend? I am having a hard time finding any replacement pump that's available.

Crack it open and see why it failed and see if you can fix it. It's already not working so there isn't really any harm in investigating if you have the time. That's what I wound up doing with mine even though it was in warranty after I wasted money in shipping it back and forth for RMA just to be told it was fine.

I have pictures of what went wrong and walk through my processes here:

When mine quit working it wasn't making excessive pump noise like you'd expect it to if it was running low on fluid until a a little while later when I got air caught in the pump from moving the card around. The cold plate on mine was completely blocked up with corrosion.

Awesome suggestions, thank you so much for these links. I will definitely take it apart and see what I can find.

    Appreciate your help!

Curious to see how this ended up as I might be having the same question/problems. Pics of what you ended up doing? Did you fix in place or replace with something else?

I am still waiting on the replacement third party air cooler to get here (supply issues everywhere).

I will let you know after I get the replacement installed.

You may have to redo the thermal compound for the chip and the memory. Keep in mind the compound paste don't last long, within the 3rd year you may have to re-paste the GPU as well as the CPU, for better performance and logentivity.

Those who abuse power, are nothing but scumbags! The challenge of power is how to use it and not abuse it. The abuse of power that seems to create the most unhappiness is when a person uses personal power to get ahead without regards to the welfare of others, people are obsessed with it. You can take a nice person and turn them into a slob, into an insane being, craving power, destroying anything that stands in their way.

If the pump is indeed dead, you can always get a NZXT Kraken G12 bracket and use a cheap, compatible AiO (listed on the G12 page).

I used the older G10 on my EVGA 1080 Ti FE and EVGA 2080 Super XC3 Ultra for quite some time with good results.

There are aftermarket water-cooled pumps that can run from Molex. I remember I did the modification myself. Alternatively, check eBay, you might just buy air-cooled head instead.
