Hello guys, I have my Kingpin 3090 Copper Edition https://www.evga.com/prod...aspx?pn=24G-P5-3999-KR now. Its running really good with stable 2175/2190mhz and +1650 memory , without any voltage adjustments and the normal LN2 Bios with 520W. I am super happy with this card! I have seen this video now https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u1EDD3Sfccg and wonder how do I can get the 3090 Kingpin Classified tool and the special Bios? I have found some classified Bios over Google and here in the Forum but I always getting this: Do I need the special BIOS to activate the RTX Classified Controller? Is there a special Email adress from EVGA I have to write with my Product Serial Number? Thank you!

There is no reason why the Classified Tool shouldn't work with your card regardless of what BIOS is on it. It's always worked with mine regardless of what BIOS I'm running (even works with the lowest power limit "normal" BIOS). The issue is likely that the BIOS/firmware on the HydroCopper is different & the Classified Tool you found the download for is for the AIOed cards & doesn't recognize the Kingpin HC because it's a different firmware version/date. There's an updated Classified Tool out there that has not yet made it out to the wild where anyone can get it, unless it has in the last few days, I haven't seen it anywhere. Be aware that if you use the 1000W BIOS & the card dies with it on there, you are very unlikely to get eVGA to RMA your card - once they see that BIOS is on the card your warranty is boned, most likely.

I wouldn't worry too much about losing warranty if you use the xoc bios. I had my 2080 Ti kp actually on ln2 and it had issues keeping core voltage at what I set. It would drop to almost idle voltages during load. I took screenshots of the settings, then pictures of the multimeter. The screenshots showed it was on the xoc bios. They asked me to reflash the bios to see if that would fix the issue but it did not. They then put in an rma for me. Had the replacement card a week later. EVGA stands behind their products. Edit: Just don't give it so much extra voltage that it overheats on ambient cooling such as that waterblock or aio. If you fry it due to too much voltage then they may deny warranty.

Hi @dabadger84 just got my kingpin HC and went to try to use X1 to OC. Should I put my OC switch on OC or LN2? What is the difference between the two dip switch settings? Also what are some good OC settings to use with this card? I'm super new to overclocking so any help will be much appreciated

the main differences is the power limit for each, normal is around 450 I think, xoc default is like 480 and the LN2 is 520-550, Dabadger has hit those levels with classified tool, but without I havent broken 500W myself, and I have the KP HC as well as for OC, its better to use FV curve to set clocks, I switched to Afterburner since I couldnt get the curve I set in X1 to stay after a reboot/crash/etc I can hit about 2130mhz at 1.069V stable in games and port royal(hits 15K :P) and +1500 on memory is done without voltage tweak from classified as well, Dabadger got some low clocking mem on his card XD Edit-After a couple hard crashes during games at +1500 mem, I dropped my gaming preset to +1400, which runs perfectly stable I might be able to do +1500 now since I put a Mp5works block on the back of the card, though I feel like I should replace the rear thermal pads with higher performance ones, this backplate is THICC

What is an FV curve and how do you set one up ? Thanks for any advice? Alsonn is the MP5 block worth it? Also tried to run Metro enhanced edition and most I can push the card is +55 without that game crashing. Are you having the same issue?

Right to the left of the core clock is a little 3 bars of signal looking icon, click that and you get that window with the curved graph with the hundred points you can use tab key to go to next one if you want to speed up the process of moving the points from the set clock you want to the end as same frequency, hence the flat part This curve is set to run at 2145 Mhz at 1068 mV so its actually an undervolt OC, since max stock voltage is like 1.1V iirc Start by setting mem clock, then max power slider, and then move core clock slider to about 100 give or take(I did 105 here I think), then tune the curve to what you want it to run Obviously you will need more voltage at higher clocks, and thats where the Classified tool comes in handy since stock it doesnt like to hit those higher voltages for long in my limited experience lol this curve is super stable for me though Metro gave me two crashes tonight for some reason, yet COD MW/Warzone runs peachy :/

Metro Exodus is very picky about overclocks from what I've heard - I ran it with my 2100MHz 1025mV undervolt/OC & didn't have any crash issues, but that's a pretty tame 'overclock', 45-60MHz higher than what the card boosts to stock.

How do you do a undervolt/OC? Be as detailed as possible😁👍. Thanks in advance for the help

Can confirm the classified tool may not work with the 3999 (I tried a couple different iterations). I think you accurately described the problem though, which can be temporarily fixed by running a 3998 vbios in one of the slots.

You need version 3.1.7 for the HydroCopper
