I have a HP omen obelisk 875 and I recently upgraded my graphics card so I wanted to upgrade my 500w stock PSU. So I bought a EVGA bronze 750 which I'm going to take back because I don't like all the extra cables. I want to upgrade to the gold modular 750 to eliminate the extra cables. My problem is the cable that connects to my HDD appears to be to tall on the bronze cables and I have to forcibly push on the side of case to get it to close which puts pressure on the cable connection. I'm wondering if there is any different cables I can use with shorter heads that don't stick out as much. I'm assuming that the gold 750 will have the same cables so should I even order one or look for a PSU brand that has shorter connector heads.
