yeah, non-ultra versions of cards are likely lower priority with the limited chips they have, as there is less of a markup and less money to be made.
I'd just join the queue for any card you might be willing to buy, regardless of variation, but it'll be a long wait regardless.

I noticed this too.... the non-ultra variants never get restocked on the various retailer websites. Only way to get one looks to be through the EVGA queue system.

I don't think it has been nixed. Microcenter still gets 3080's and 3070's from EVGA. What I don't understand is why they keep sending them to stores instead of taking care of the queue from EVGA fans.

you can sign up for as many as you like ... just has to be one model number per household.... but it could be 1 of each individual "part number" or Sku so if they made 5 different variations of cards all 3080 for instance you could sign up for all 5 versions of that 3080

read a depressing article last night about the chip shortage and had comments from AMD and Nvidia both stated "...may be well be into 2022 before we see cards available in quantity" at this point im like most here holding out for some shred of light to get a new card... i refuse to pay 3 to 4 times msrp but have been tempted ...

It all comes down to capacity at the fabricators. They can only produce so many chips for a given year. Tons of people buy capacity at these fabs too. It's not nvidia or EVGA can simply buy more capacity as it's already booked. COVID shutdowns, unprecedented demand, the crypto rise, and materials shortages have all combined to create a perfect storm hurting games. A lot of fabs have been able to ramp up production, and are even expanding, but those gains are limited.

My friend actually got a 3090 xc3 ultra hybrid notify 2 days ago. He signed up for it back in november I believe. So I really doubt they are ramping up any production for 3080's, might be focusing a lot more on the Ti.

thx for all the responces. my question was about a specific model and not evga products in general. after more research i have come to the conclusion that this model has not been produced. the binning of chips, i would think, should result in a lower teir sku. hmm. ? where did all the lower tier chips end up? Hmm?
