I have a MSI Optix Mag274qrf-qd. I bought it after watching hardware unboxed monitor review for 2020. Very good quality 1440p 166hz. Got it on a really good sale too but the price went back up.

i miss my asus rog Swift PG279Q 27" 1440P monitor that the panel ended up with a green line down the middle so i had to return it and was not able to get a replacement due to no inventory at the time. So went with a 27" 1440 benq monitor but some dead pixels are starting to happen it had a good run

Would a normal 1440p IPS panel monitor be better than a curved 1440p VA monitor? Or is it just a preference thing..

Any possibility anytime soon we'll get some gaming monitors like these that happen to be OLED, at least in this size even if a bit above the usual prices?

Can't imagine how much they will cost. Asus is talking about a 43" 4k PC monitor with HDMI 2.1 due out this year with a 144 Hz refresh rate, but its going to be about $1900.

Rawestthebombak does anyone here actually have or has used the benq xl2546k ? I'm looking to buy that and could use some feedback from an owner's perspective. Supposedly it's the best 240hz 1080p monitor out there but the price is kind of steep.
I've used it, it's alright, but honestly, I'd go for something cheaper. The BenQ Ex2510 is a great alternative, that's cheaper, and something I actually prefer more because of the IPS panel. It's a great monitor you should look into.

I bought an off brand 1440p 144 Hz and it was a big regret. The colors are poor and the brightness is terrible. Higher res and higher refresh are nothing without picture quality.

One day I'm going to buy a 1440p at 144Hz and possibly IPS 1ms. Problem is, most of them are G-Sync compatible and don't really have an actual NVIDIA module in them. I looked some up on Amazon and actual G-Sync monitors cost 200-300€ more than compatible ones. At this point I'm wondering if it's worth spending more or if I'd just be better off with a compatible one.

Monitors with a G-Sync processor have the full variable refresh rate range while G-SYNC compatible usually have a certain range and if you get lower than that it won't work anymore and you'll start noticing the lack of sync.

Here, let me give you a link that explains it a bit. From NVIDIA's page: https:// www. nvidia. com/ en-us/ geforce/ products/ g-sync-monitors Forgive me for the wonky link but it's the only way I can send any, just remove the spaces.

Currency on a SyncMaster2433 (an old 60hz TN that just barely does 1080p) and planning to upgrade to a LG 34GN850 once I got a card that can actually handle that.

i know a few people with curved monitors, the general statement so far is that they don't notice any difference. I personally noticed that with curved it depends more on the angle with which you look at the monitor and of course on the curvature itself

I think it depends on the size of the monitor. My 34 inch ultra wide is great curved but I don't know if I'd want a curved 24-27 inch.

I have an Odyssey G9, a 49 inch monitor with a 1000R curve and could not and will not go back to anything less. Had my doubts but the curvature is actually perfect for the size and the amount of screen real estate is awesome.
My next upgrade will be to the LG OLED 49 inch that had an adjustable curvature they teased last year.

If you want an high FOV just go for a triple screen setup. If you just want a nice gaming monitor, take an ultra wide curved monitor!

1440p is a great sweat spot right now. I want to get into 4k, but between not being able to buy a GPU, and needing DSC for high refresh rates, I'll wait a couple more years. My Dell 27 inch 1440p G-Sync monitor will just have to last a while longer.
