I know someone that's using a gtx 590. It can't play minecraft on fancy graphics  . I think it might be because the resolution is 1080p though. Also one of the ports at the back crashes the computer after 5 minutes.

I'm impressed mine is still going strong. I was just really slow to upgrade my video card and can't believe I was able to get by on 1.25 GB VRAM for so long :). I've even been able to get it playing games like Final Fantasy 14 on average settings with DirectX 9. I did, however, have to clean out the fan when I rewired the case not too long ago - that was a mess. It is still a great back up computer just in case another one in our house goes down.

I gave my old 580 to a buddy. The card is still going but had to undergo some surgery.. Best of both camps worlds?

Yep, same. Once I cleaned the dust out of the fan, it looked brand new. I even realized I forgot to take off the plastic coating over the top of the card to prevent scratches during shipping :)

In all seriousness, 1.25 GB of RAM doesn't really hold up for much gaming anymore. I'm so glad I was able to get this much life out of a card, and it's an EVGA one at that. I was told before I purchased it that EVGA makes quality products and this helps prove it

I actually had that card in my desktop when I first built it and was very happy with it for most of its lifespan (mine may have been a GT I think? I remember it having a relatively low amount of RAM compared to the card that came to replace it--I was building on a very tight budget and had to work with a really old, unused box copy of Windows XP Pro when I initially built it, so had to keep everything under the 4GB total limit with 32-bit operating systems because of that and after a while ran into a situation where I had to keep an eye out for sales of copies of Win7 Pro to upgrade to. My 570 was considered the closest I came to a splurge along with the i7 CPU I still have in there, despite both having been out for a while during the time I was looking to buy hardware). However, unfortunately my 570 lasted until just after my warranty on the card had just expired when it "died". I consider myself extremely fortunate though and remain very grateful as an Evga employee at the time reached out to me after I posted about it and offered to send me the card I currently have in my desktop (a refurbished 760 Superclocked, which unfortunately is now dying apparently) with an understanding that it was an as-is/no warranty situation. However, as I said, I was and still am very thankful to them for it and at the risk of sounding a bit cliche, it actually made me even more of an Evga fan than I was before.

My 560ti died about 7 years after I bought it. Got a 950 with the RMA and that's still going strong.

Haha My father purchased one in 2010 and has been rocking till earlier this year when i snagged him a 3090 for flight sim 2020.... I figured he did the hard yards and waited long enough... now can't get him off the flight sim!
