Nvidia's Marbles Tech Demo is now available to download | OC3D News (overclock3d.net)

Nvidia's Marbles Tech RTX Demo is one of the company's strongest showcases for both ray tracing and DLSS, showcasing real-time path-traced visuals that can be rendered in real-time with movie-like detail. Now, this demo is fully playable, allowing PC gamers to run Nvidia's tech demo at home on their RTX-powered PCs. This Tech Demo is now available to free to users of Nvidia's Omniverse platform, which currently be used by PC gamers and hobbyists to have a look at Nvidia's latest technologies. Gamers will need to sign up to use the application with their Nvidia account, but once that hurdle is passed, Nvidia's Marbles Tech Demo will be easy to access. Nvidia's Omniverse Marbles RTX tech demo is a physics-based demo that is entirely path-traced. The demo works on all RTX graphics cards and is designed to run on Windows 10 PCs.

So far, Nvidia has showcased this demo with both Turing and Ampere graphics cards, demonstrating the benefits of Nvidia's RTX feature set. With the launch of this demo, gamers can finally see this tech demo running on their hardware, confirming that Nvidia's RTX showcase was legitimate.

PC gamers can download Nvidia's Omniverse app and Marbles RTX Demo here

Enjoy the playable demo!

Is this like the old NES game marble madness with Ray Tracing or something? Because that would be pretty hype actually.

Cool! I loved the marbles demo. Maybe I'll be able to check it out in 2023 when literally any RTX GPU is in stock.

It kind of is like that.

I kind of expected to see this show up as recently NVIDIA removed the Dawn and Dusk tech demos. I think the mermaid demo was also pulled from what I heard.

Yeah, Nvidia removed a lot of its more objectionable tech demos, especially ones featuring pretty women (there was one you could get topless even).
To an extent, that's understandable. The 90s and 2000s were a bit different in what was acceptable and someone looking for an argument could grab those to cause a ruckus that would be bad for the company image. And they're not that important today anyway, they are not impressive anymore and some of the stuff (hardware fog I think?) doesn't work anymore.
