how does the warranty process work, when you have a product that you received from a previous rma? what is the warranty time frame?

The warranty length is always based on the original card's warranty. If you purchased a card on 1/1/2016, and replaced a card on 9/1/2016, it will still be 3 years from 1/1/2016.

If your original card has a lifetime warranty, the replacement will as well. As mentioned, the warranty is always based on the warranty of the original card. Assuming this is a question about the GTX 480 you have registered, yes it is still covered under warranty.

Sorry to revive an older thread. I've Just curious to what card did you receive? What cards have people been getting in replacement of the GTX 480? I have gotten my card when it first came out it was worth 500 dollars  back in 2010

Recently after the windows 10 updates have been conflicting with my gtx 480 drivers and it has been crashing and bsoding. I'm thinking about using the lifetime warranty on my gtx480. I have kept the card in tip top condition I would clean the gpu every month its not full of dust for sure. I'm thinking it might be a software issue, but since Nvidia or Evga would not write new drivers for it its going to be a constant issue.

Thanks

It doesn't matter what the original cost of your card was. RMAs are based on relative performance levels, not cost. So if you're thinking you're entitled to something like a RTX 3070 you can forget about that, it's not happening. Performance wise your card is slower than even a GTX 1050, so anything at or around that would be a massive upgrade for you. There is really no telling though what you'll get back if you RMA such an old card but I can virtually guarantee you it won't be anything in the "RTX" series of cards.

Intel i9 14900K ...............................Ryzen 9 7950X3D
MSI RTX 4090 Gaming Trio................ASRock Phantom RX 7900 XTX
Samsung Odyssey G9.......................PiMax 5K Super/Meta Quest 3
ASUS ROG Strix Z690-F Gaming........ASUS TUF Gaming X670E Plus WiFi
64GB G.Skill Trident Z5 6800Mhz.......64GB Kingston Fury RGB 6000Mhz
MSI MPG A1000G 1000w..................EVGA G3 SuperNova 1000w

Awesome, Thanks for your swift reply. Yeah I'm not looking for a crazy upgrade just need something that does not keep crashing on windows 10. I mean don't get me wrong if I get a gtx 1050 I would be extremely happy. This is going to be my second EVGA replacement. I originally had a 8600 gt back in the day it started to artifact and EVGA has been good on the RMA that card because it was still under warranty. Came 2010 I decided to upgrade because of some titles that came out around that time that needed something more beefy. Mainly StarCraft 2 on medium settings it was going for around 10-15 fps wanted to play it on high. My worry would be if I get the same card and have the same driver and windows update issues.

I think you're not elegible for the RMA since your gpu still working like in the first day.
If you install an OS of the date that you purchased the gpu I have 100% sure that will works like a charm.
They will not cover software and OS updates. Like non oficial supported OS's to this specific graphic card.
It's clear in your words "after the windows 10 updates", It's a windows issue, not a gpu issue
