I saw this one tweet of someone's Adobe bill for owning Adobe Photoshop and After effects, which sparked a huge controversy on Twitter. This made me question if it's actually MORALLY wrong to pirate software from these companies that make millions (if not billions) from companies that register to use their products such as major animation studios. What do you guys think?

Software piracy is a serious issue.

Why don't they just make it so it's free for regular consumers and make major companies that license the products pay most of the revenue? For example, Unreal Engine is completely free but they require you to purchase a license of some sort if you start making (in e.g) $1,000,000+

Well this is at the developers choice, to give free for regular consumers and charge companies(small or large). Like Teamviewer, it give free non-comercial use but if you get caught they want to charge you

I personally don't do it, because I don't need to. But it's definitely a choice because of greed. Adobe is not a small company, I can guarantee you they make millions if not billons off their products.

It's ethically and legally wrong. But morals are complicated. If you were stealing a killer's car in order to make your escape, it's probably not morally wrong. But stealing software? It's hard to justify that morally. If that company was stealing from you, would you think it was morally fine? No. So, don't steal from them either. Claiming that someone is "greedy" isn't a valid defense for performing immoral actions against them. If you don't like them because you think that they are greedy, move on and focus on your own life. Adobe has 22,500 employees. Those 22,500 employees have families. Cut them some slack.

I agree with this in many ways. I mean if you truly like someones software, why not support them? Why not pay for it and to feel good to know you are actually helping someone.
